ACNE SCARS
Any type of acne spot can lead to scarring.
Scarring can also occur if you pick or squeeze your spots, so it's important not to do this.
The term "scarring" refers to a fibrous process in which new collagen is laid down to heal a full-thickness injury. It affects 30% of those with moderate or severe acne vulgaris. It is particularly common in nodulocystic acne, acne conglobata and acne fulminans. It may also be a long-term consequence of infantile acne.
If you have already developed acne scars the treatments differs depending on the type of acne scars you have
Treatments in general include
▪︎ Deep microneedling
▪︎ Mesotherapy
▪︎ PRP
▪︎ Fractional laser
▪︎ Radio-frequency
▪︎ Chemical peels
