Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October is a time to come together to raise awareness; promote education, screening, and early detection; raise money, honor the fallen, and support patients and survivors. Drug Addiction can cause physical and psychological damage. Receiving treatment is essential for breaking the cycle of addiction.
However, as a chronic disease, addiction is difficult to treat and requires on-going care.

One of the best things we can do is give our young people the power to talk about mental health issues and topics as challenging as su***de without shutting the door.

There are many myths about su***de. One of them is that if you ask a person if they are having thoughts of su***de, you are planting the seed. This is not true. In fact, asking the question opens the door for that person to share personal thoughts, feelings and experiences. If a person is thinking about su***de, help them access resources.

And the numbers could be even higher because mental health stigma prevents many people from reaching out and asking for help.
You can also encourage your friend or loved one to access support from their religious community or make an appointment with a mental health professional.

پاکستان کے 90فیصد افراد پوزیٹو مینٹل ہیلتھ سے محروم ہیں ،جس کا مطلب یہ نہیں کہ وہ کسی نفسیاتی مرض جیسا کہ ڈپریشن ،گھبراہٹ ،بائی پولر ڈس آڈر ،شیزوفرینیا کاشکار ہیں بلکہ اس کا مطلب ہے کہ وہ اپنی زندگی سے مطمئن نہیں ۔

’پوزیٹو مینٹل ہیلتھ کا مطلب ہے کہ انسان کو اپنی صلاحیتوں کا اندازہ ہو ،روز مرہ کے مسائل سے نبرد آز ماہونے کی صلاحیت رکھتا ہو ،دوسروں کے لیے مثبت سوچ رکھتا ہو اور معاشرے کی بہتری کے لیے فعال کردار ادا کرتا ہے.
مثبت نقطہ نظر رکھنے کی کوشش کرنا ضروری ہے۔ ایسا کرنے کے کچھ طریقے شامل ہیں۔

مثبت اور منفی جذبات کے درمیان توازن قائم کرنا۔ مثبت رہنے کا مطلب یہ نہیں ہے کہ آپ کبھی بھی منفی جذبات محسوس نہیں کرتے، جیسے اداسی یا غصہ۔ آپ کو انہیں محسوس کرنے کی ضرورت ہے تاکہ آپ مشکل حالات سے گزر سکیں۔ وہ کسی مسئلے کو حل کرنے میں آپ کی مدد کر سکتے ہیں۔ لیکن آپکو اتنی صلاحیت پیدا کرنی ہو گی کہ آپ اپنے جذبات پر قابو پا سکیں۔
مثال کے طور پر، ماضی میں ہونے والی بری چیزوں کے بارے میں سوچتے رہنا یا مستقبل کے بارے میں بہت زیادہ فکر کرنا مددگار نہیں ہے۔
منفی معلومات سے وقفہ لیں۔ مدد کے لیے پہنچنے اور دوسروں سے جڑے ہوئے محسوس کرنے کے لیے سوشل میڈیا کا استعمال کریں۔ لیکن محتاط رہیں۔ افواہوں کا شکار نہ ہوں، بحث میں نہ پڑیں، یا اپنی زندگی کا دوسروں سے منفی موازنہ نہ کریں۔

TSL attended the 15th International Neuropsycon Conference on Psychiatric Updates which took place from 24-26th June 2022 at PC Hotel Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan.

ڈپریشن کی بیماری کی شدت عام اداسی کے مقابلے میں جو ہم سب وقتاً فوقتاً محسوس کرتے ہیں کہیں زیادہ گہری اور تکلیف دہ ہوتی ہے۔ اس کا دورانیہ بھی عام اداسی سے کافی زیادہ ہوتا ہےاور مہینوں تک چلتا ہے۔طبّی اعتبار سے اداسی اسوقت ڈپریشن کی بیماری کہلانے لگتی ہے جب:

• اداسی کا احساس بہت دنوں تک رہے اور ختم ہی نہ ہو

• اداسی کی شدت اتنی زیادہ ہو کہ زندگی کے روز مرہ کے معمولات اس سے متاثر ہونے لگیں۔
