________________________________

🔹 Tailbone pain, called “coccydynia,” is pain in and around the small triangular bone at the very bottom of your spinal column, above the cleft of your buttocks.
……………………………………………………

There are three types of events that cause tailbone pain⁉️

⭕️ External Trauma: A bruised, broken or dislocated coccyx caused by a fall.
⭕️ Internal Trauma: Trauma caused by a difficult childbirth or from sitting on a narrow or hard surface for too long.
⭕️ Others: Infection, abscess and tumors.

💥 The SYMPTOMS of coccydynia include:

🔹Achy or piercing pain in the tailbone.
🔹More severe pain when changing from sitting to standing up.
🔹More severe pain when sitting for long periods of time.
🔹Pain during bowel movements.
🔹Pain during s*x.
💥Other related symptoms that may occur with coccydynia include:

▫️Depression.
▫️Anxiety.
▫️Poor sleep.
▫️Painful buttocks.
▫️Back pain.

PHYSIOTHERAPY MANAGEMENT⁉️

The initial line of Physiotherapy treatment will include making certain adjustments such as applying gel cushion when one is sitting for extended periods of time. This helps reduce localized pressure and improve his posture.

Other modes include:

🔻Mobilisations: This can help realign the posture of the coccyx. Initially, there might be tenderness; hence, it is advised to start with rotational mobilization. To start with, either side should be mobilized first.

🔻Manipulation: It can be done intra-re**al and when the patient is lying in a lateral position. The coccyx is repeatedly extended and flexed with the help of the index finger. However, care must be taken so as to not hurt the re**al mucosa.

🔻Massage: Massaging the coccygeus muscles has also been proven to relieve pain. Biofeedback can also be integrated with it in order to avoid incidences of muscle pull on the coccyx. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a physiotherapist.

💥Do you suffer from FROZEN SHOULDER⁉️

🤔What’s FROZEN SHOULDER⁉️
__________________________________

🔹 FROZEN SHOULDER is the common name for ADHESIVE CAPSULITIS , It is a condition that affects your shoulder joint. It usually involves pain and stiffness that develops gradually, gets worse and then finally goes away. This can take anywhere from a year to 3 years.

🔹With frozen shoulder, the capsule becomes so thick and tight that it’s hard to move.

🔶 The main SYMPTOMS of a frozen shoulder are pain and stiffness that make it difficult or impossible to move it.

🔶 CAUSES⁉️
❇️ One of the most common causes of frozen shoulder is the immobility that may result during recovery from a shoulder injury, broken arm or a stroke.

🔹The bones, ligaments and tendons that make up your shoulder joint are encased in a capsule of connective tissue.

↘️ Frozen shoulder occurs when this capsule thickens and tightens around the shoulder joint, restricting its movement.

↘️Although it's more likely to occur in people who have diabetes or those who recently had to immobilize their shoulder for a long period, such as after surgery or an arm fracture.

🔶 People 40 and older, particularly women, are more likely to have frozen shoulder.

✅ PHYSICAl THERAPY✅

🔶👉🏻Physical therapy for frozen shoulder typically involves using therapeutic modalities and procedures to decrease your pain, and aggressive range of motion (ROM) exercises to help improve your shoulder's mobility.

🔹 Exercises and movement are essential for the successful treatment of your frozen shoulder.
