Margalla Hills Shoulder Course 2026 – Post Event Highlights
The Margalla Hills Shoulder Course 2026, under the leadership of Dr. Mustafa Javed Bhalli, Chief of Orthopedic - SIHL and Course Director, successfully conducted at C-0 Auditorium, Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad organized by Shifa Center of Professional Excellence in collaboration with Department of Orthopedic and Pakistan Knee and Hip Society.
The course brought together consultants, fellows, postgraduates, and trainees for an enriching academic experience focused on advanced shoulder pathology and management.
A major highlight of the event was the Live Surgical Session conducted by Dr. Mustafa Javed Bhalli, Course Director, at OR-2, which was simultaneously broadcasted to CO-Hall. The real-time surgical demonstration provided participants with valuable insights into operative techniques, intraoperative decision-making, and complication management in an interactive learning environment.
Adding further academic depth, a Live Radiology Session was conducted by Dr. Rashid Nazeer at the Radiology Conference Room, offering detailed discussions on imaging-based diagnosis, ultrasound applications, and radiological correlations in shoulder pathologies.
We were also honored to have two distinguished international speakers join online via Zoom:
Dr. Ganesh Prasad, who presented on the challenging topic of unstable shoulder with glenohumeral bone loss, sharing practical strategies and surgical perspectives.
Dr. Saif Hadi, who delivered an insightful talk on revision rotator cuff repair and complex cuff failures, addressing decision-making in difficult clinical scenarios.
The scientific program was further strengthened by valuable contributions from our esteemed international speaker Dr. Julio Nomesque as well as national speakers who shared their expertise through case-based discussions, expert opinions, and interactive sessions that greatly enriched the learning experience.
The course featured dynamic panel discussions, hands-on engagement, and collaborative knowledge exchange, reinforcing its commitment to high-quality continuing medical education.
