Maj. Gen. (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam, Vice Chancellor of CUI, and Col. (R) Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba Abbasi, Registrar CUI, held a formal meeting with the newly appointed Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar (Sitara-i-Imtiaz).

Islamabad Rehabilitation Sciences college (IRSC) recently organized an insightful pre-symposium workshop titled “How to Select High Impact Topics for Undergraduate Research” at Riphah International University.

This session was designed to bridge the gap between curiosity and high-level academic contribution.

The workshop focused on guiding participants through the critical process of identifying research topics that are not only impactful but deeply relevant to today’s world. By focusing on innovation and societal needs, students gained the clarity needed to transform their undergraduate studies into meaningful contributions to their respective fields.

It was a privilege to see so much academic potential in one room as we continue to foster a culture of excellence and discovery.

مارگلہ ٹریل پر صحت کا پیغام؛ سینکڑوں طبی طلبہ اور ڈاکٹروں کی انسداد موٹاپا ہائیک
اسلام آباد میڈیکل اینڈ ڈینٹل کالج نے ڈاکٹر اکبر نیازی ٹیچنگ ہسپتال کے اشتراک سے مارگلہ ہائیکنگ ٹریل تھری پر “موٹاپے کے خلاف ہائیک” کا ایک پُرجوش اور بامقصد انعقاد کیا۔ یہ سرگرمی محض ایک واک نہیں تھی بلکہ صحت مند طرزِ زندگی کے عملی پیغام کی جیتی جاگتی تصویر بن گئی، جہاں کلاس رومز کی سنجیدگی کی جگہ پہاڑوں کی تازگی نے لے لی۔
تقریب کا آغاز رنگا رنگ اور علامتی انداز میں ہوا، جس میں ربن کاٹنے اور مقابلے کے آغاز کی تقاریب شامل تھیں۔ اس ماحول دوست مہم کو کامیابی سے ہمکنار کرنے میں آئی ایم ڈی سی ہائیک اینڈ ایڈونچر کلب نے، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر احمد رضا کی قیادت میں، کلیدی کردار ادا کیا اور ذمہ دارانہ تفریح کی ایک عمدہ مثال قائم کی۔
سات سو سے زائد شرکاء، جن میں میڈیکل، ڈینٹل، فزیکل تھراپی، میڈیکل لیب ٹیکنالوجی اور نرسنگ کے طلبہ و طالبات، اساتذہ، عملی میدان میں خدمات انجام دینے والے ڈاکٹرز و سرجنز اور ہیلتھ کیئر مینجمنٹ کے نمائندگان شامل تھے، پُرجوش انداز میں دلکش پہاڑی راستے پر گامزن رہے۔ اداروں کی اعلیٰ قیادت بھی پورے وقت موجود رہی اور شرکاء کی حوصلہ افزائی کرتی رہی، جبکہ انہیں اس امر پر سراہا گیا کہ انہوں نے راستے کو کچرے سے پاک رکھ کر پہاڑوں کی قدرتی خوبصورتی کے تحفظ کی بہترین مثال قائم کی۔
اس موقع پر جی اے کے ہیلتھ کیئر کے گروپ سی ای او یاسر خان نیازی نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ ایسی سرگرمیاں محض تفریح نہیں بلکہ ادارے کے اس وژن کا عملی اظہار ہیں جس کے تحت طلبہ کو صرف کامیاب ڈاکٹرز، نرسز اور ہیلتھ کئیر ورکرز ہی نہیں بلکہ ہمہ جہت، باشعور اور معاشرے سے جڑے ہوئے پیشہ ور افراد بنایا جاتا ہے- یعنی ایسے افراد جو سیکھنے کے جذبے، اخلاقی اقدار، سماجی خدمت اور صحت مند زندگی کے اصولوں کو اپنی شناخت بنائیں۔
تقریب کا اختتام خوشگوار اور یادگار انداز میں ہوا، جہاں موسیقی، دلچسپ سرگرمیوں اور مقابلے میں کامیاب ہونے والے ظلبہ میں انعامات کی تقسیم نے ماحول کو مزید دلکش بنا دیا۔ طلبہ، والدین، اساتذہ اور دیگر شرکاء نے انتظامیہ کو اس کامیاب اقدام پر سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ اس طرح کی سرگرمیاں ثابت کرتی ہیں کہ صحت کا پیغام سنجیدہ ہونے کے ساتھ ساتھ خوشگوار بھی ہو سکتا ہے اور یہ جاری رہنی چاہئے۔
