On 21st October evening, her "special appointment" was already fixed at my clinic at 7pm.
Whenever, I am told by my aides that there is a "special appointment", my heart would skip a beat. What it meant was that the patient I am going to see is most probably terminally ill and that they have paid a lot for this clinical visit and that we are to give her time from one hour to whatever it takes.
I had asked her name and age... (we need to skip the name here), I was told she is 15 with some breathing troubles.
I waited for her with my eyes on my research on various forms of breathing difficulties... pneumonia, COPD, Allergic Asthma, fluid retention in lungs due to kidney disease, bronchiolitis, low hgb, loss of blood, tb... I kept on studying and reminding myself of various lung and related issues that cause breathing difficulties... then the bell rang. They were here.

The bell shook me out of my meditation on medicines.
A lot of commotion was happening on her arrival, someone stood keeping the door open, one was heard saying to hold the cylinder, an elder motherly figure was helping someone behind the door to my room... and then I saw her...
She was thin, frail girl who looked like a 12 year old ( although she was 15 as per the info). She was wearing Oxygen Mask with pipes running down to the regulator installed on a heavy Oxygen Cylinder - I got up and gestured towards a sofa opposite to my table.
Her mother helped her take the seat and soon the cylinder was placed near her and everyone settled. My aides exchanged few glances and then room fell deathly silent. I had noticed two full file dossiers in the hands of the elder lady and so breaking the heaviness of silence, I requested her that I would like to see her reports first.. she came and sat in the chair and handed me over chest X-rays right away.
A casual glance on x-rays showed a white right lung, so I quickly looked at the left one, right lung obviously looked as if it has already failed so I needed some assurance from the left lung... but I got nothing much. White threads mapped the left lung too... “What is it ?” was my first internal reaction and inadvertently my eyes shifted to look back at the little patient girl.
She looked relaxed and casual, she must have seen a lot of clinics in her life and things have now become so routine for her that she showed no anxiousness or wariness while visiting a new physician. She was pale, thin with hair neatly combed and tied into two braids lying on her shoulders, her hands were playing with the oxygen pipe that passed over her knees and oblivious to my glance, she was keenly looking around the room. So I left her to herself and focused back at files..
Her mother who sat right in front of me was looking at me with wet eyes, of course she was ready to cry anytime but without a sound, they knew more than me at that time... I focused back at the reports...
Last doctor was someone from a famous hospital and a small triangle preceded the diagnosis... "Cystic Fibrosis". Oh...my heart skipped another beat.

Cystic Fibrosis is something that one develops at a very young age, mostly hereditary disorder of exocrine mucus glands found inside of the lungs, that keep excreting tough threads and fibers of mucus, these then gradually spread stopping the air flow and depriving the patient from oxygen. It tend to slowly spread onto the lungs surface and has a very poor prognosis. People are trying to transplant lungs whenever and wherever feasible. Average life span in US for cystic fibrosis is about 38 years.

She suddenly coughed - a sharp metallic coughing-sound reverberated in the room - I raised my head and smiled at her, my smile was full and confident and completely unaffected by the presence of horrifying disease that lurked in her lungs and under my comforting gaze, she also smiled and then,, coughed again... same .. sharp rattles... nothing was raised out of her trachea... tough, stringy, springy mucus that refused to detach was accumulated up into her bronchi while the lungs tried to throw it out and away, but as such, the efforts of the system to cough it out was in vain, that mucus stayed right there..inside! Lets see how to deal with it....I thought and then I restarted on the heavy files...

She was admitted first when she was 18 months old and then from that tender age... there were hundreds of documented clincal visits, lists and lists of steroids were scribbled on every past prescription that I saw... she had never passed a year without going to emergency hospital, sometimes intra-venous cortisone were also given, inhalers and sprays was a common thing for her at this young age. No doubt, everyone had tried hard.
Then came the prescriptions from many homeopaths. Antimonies, Natrums, Tinctures, what and what not... she had a history of medication including all schools of allopathy, homeopathy, greek medicines and later I found out she also had sessions from spiritual healers.
But after the long string of all the possible healing therapies that spread over a decade, she was sitting here at my clinic, in front of me, with her parents and a cousin, and a man who referred them here was also present - He was the only one who looked confident and so sure of himself that he has brought them here to heal at my clinic, others who looked relaxed were those who did not know the issue at all... and all of them were here, at my clinic... my clinic !

A clinic that boasts to handle and cure breathing issues, chronic backaches, dissolve bone spurs, heal sciatica, remove epilepsy, repair knee joint cartilages and help frozen shoulders. A clinic that does all the most difficult jobs... jobs failed by others, or sent for surgeries and replacements and transplants.
and I run my clinic...amid all the clouds of skeptics, I do my job... with absolute professional poise ... I considered myself bestowed with the deepest and best of insight for the cures and it was not a mere chance that she was sent for my clinic, the moment her case was known to someone who knows me very well.... I reminded myself of my traits and my resolute determination and shook myself out of my internal dialogues and shrugged away the negativity with a renewed conviction. My professional resolve, reminded me to disregard the depressing words that the medical schools tell about Cystic Fibrosis and find my own way... I had to use my methods and carve a way out for her to get rid of this disease that is known as a fatal disease all over the world.

The files were removed off my table as I started asking about modalities... food, posture, time... all modalities... I must know all.. secretions, fevers, eye watering, check her gums... is there a Burton's Line? my aides responded to my instructions and surrounded the little girl in a playful manner, checking her nails, teeth, fibrosis mark on teeth.. yes we got that.. we also got the Burton's Line... she had been exposed to lead poisoning sometime in past.. over exposed to fluorides. Her thermals... Her Perspiration... “put a cotton ball in her fist and let her hold it for 5 minutes”, oh yes.. her sweat smelled of chlorine.

She and her parents were witnessing such activity for the first time and laughed with us while we pushed her palm into our noses to smell her sweat... we tried to keep it like a game... and extracted every possible trait of her symptoms... for that short time her parents also lost the thought of all the red flags and dangers told by so many physicians... they never had any experience with a true classical homeopath.

At last everyone was back in their seats, silence tried creeping back into the room, by that time I had shortlisted 4 medicines, then I started asking few weird questions and told them that now I have only 4 medicines in front of me and please help me find the only one from these four, the one that will work like a key to the lock and I must not presume I need some answers, we were soon down to two.
Now, howsoever I looked at her and the two medicines - I was unable to cross out any of these last two medicines, but for sure, her medicine were not two, it was only one of these. Meanwhile her mother opened up and years of years of hold up in her chest started pouring out, she cried few times in between but only to laugh after we commented otherwise. She has already lost the hope many years back and had hardened her heart to the inevitable, but our deep cross and active probes left her imagining something that she had long forgotten, so she broke into tears.

Finally after an hour or so, “Time Modality” ruled in favor of one of the two medicines that I was holding in my hands. Her father was the one who helped us clarify the “Time Modality” and told us that between 1 pm to 3 pm she is absolutely fine and has never experienced any shortness of breath during these hours. So, Arsenics were removed and we were left with the Kaliums and that was the last bottle I had remaining in my hands. That is when I asked my aides to prepare in 200th power a total of three doses, one to be given now.. (It was 9 pm night - time passed very quickly with her). One dose next morning and one coming evening... in addition to that give her Calcium Flour - 6x tablets for whole week and a small concoction to be taken every night after dinner and every morning after breakfast to loosen the mucus.
The prescription was written down and saved. Medicines were prepared and dispensed.
First dose was given right there in my presence, in 10 minutes her heaviness of head that she complained, started to go away, we could see her moving her head to and fro, checking if it is there or not, everyone was staring at her, then she said she feels better, everyone heaved a sigh of relief... ( me too ). This one condition of heaviness in head was constant with her from years and in addition to it she expressed that she does not like to breathe from her nose due to very cold sensation hitting inside her nose...(perhaps due to the drying feature of the oxygen) but that also lessened. Now as they were leaving, I could see hope shining in some eyes, horror in others, mistrust in one.... how could a dose make a difference for someone sick from all her life..? Nope... they must be dreaming... a more sensible approach was to wait and see... and that did not take long!

Next evening when our clinic opened.. one of my aide told me that the family called late at night and informed that she has coughed out lot of mucus as was told to them by me and she felt relieved after throwing out the mucus that rose from her chest. She felt weak and cold but then had forgotten to take her dinner... soon she ate well and slept calmly after many months for full four hours. Next morning her mother was confident enough to leave for work.... her father felt confident enough and attended his office, after so many weeks.
We all thanked Allah SWT for being so kind on us! Alhumdulillah. Maybe one day she recovers completely and enjoy the life of a healthy person and also all of us.... Ameen!
