Gardasil 9 is a vaccine that protects against nine types of human papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause cervical, va**nal, vulvar, and a**l cancers, as well as ge***al warts. It is an updated version of the original Gardasil vaccine and covers more HPV strains.

It’s typically recommended for preteens (around ages 11–12) but can be given to individuals up to age 45. The number of doses depends on the person’s age when they start the series—usually two doses for those under 15 and three doses for those 15 and older.
