Center for Women's Entrepreneurship
The Concept:
1) The forces of globalization in both its positive and negative impacts are here to stay.
2) The interconnectedness and interdependence of economies of the world have recently witnessed shock waves that start at one end and impact all along the way.
3) Innovations and Competitiveness enables a country to stand on its feet with dignity and paves the way to lead others with pride.
4) Today Pakistan is standing on a cross road with equal options of either enter into an era of rapid economic growth & development or to enter into next phase of troubles.
5) Women in Pakistan represent the majority of our Population and have proven their capabilities if enabling environments are provided.
6) With high rate of Population growth, local job markets are unable to provide corresponding opportunities and women are facing more difficulties then men in this job crisis situation.
7) We need to provide required support of all those women who are Entrepreneur and want to apply innovations to help themselves and other women around them to fill the increasing GAP in demand and suply of job opportunities in Pakistan.
8) There is an urgent need for a platform which could guide, help and assist the women of rural & urban areas of Pakistan.
9) Center of Information Technology (CIT) through its experienced faculty and students has been supporting number its partner NGOs to promote Innovations as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
10) Observing the immediate need for a plate form for coordinated efforts of Women to promote Entrepreneurship & Innovations, Centre of Information Technology (CIT) F-10 Markaz Islamabad has ventured into establishment of Centre for Women's Entrepreneur (CWE) and formally announce it on 8th March 2013 a day of Women Empowerment also being celebrated in Pakistan
