Animal Health scientists delivered HS vaccine seed to the Veterinary Research Institute (VRI), Peshawar. In this regard, two days hands on training was conducted for laboratory staff at VRI, Peshawar. The laboratory staff were trained in HS vaccine preparation and its evaluation.

Much like the Bunsen burner and the white lab coat, the Petri dish has entered the popular consciousness as a symbol of science. Used to grow cell cultures, the Petri dish is simply a shallow lidded dish, typically made out of glass but now often made of plastic.

German physician Julius Richard Petri (born in 1852) is the scientist whose name has become attached to this piece of equipment, though several scientists, including the man to whom Petri was an assistant, Robert Koch, can fairly lay claim to being the originator of the dish.
