Driving Change in IPC Practices and Behavioral Transformation at Federal Government Polyclinic, Islamabad
Thrilled to share some exciting progress! At FGPC, we are witnessing a remarkable behavioral shift among healthcare workers in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices—a testament to the power of structured interventions and accountability.
This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of Dr. Niaz, AED FGPC, who has provided us with the encouragement needed for training and implementation of IPC measures. His open approach has been instrumental in driving this change.
With Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) leading the way, FGPC has been established as a Center of Excellence for IPC in Islamabad through:
✅ Training healthcare workers to strengthen IPC practices
✅ Displaying IEC materials to reinforce best practices
✅ Monitoring & impact assessment to track progress
✅ Providing supportive supervision along with ICN for sustained improvements
Thanks to consistent monitoring and accountability, we have witnessed a tangible behavioral shift among healthcare workers. This highlights the critical role of structured oversight in driving long-term, sustainable transformation.
Through the tireless efforts of IHHN and Dr. Niaz, FGPC is now developing an IPC policy and conducting surveillance of IPC practices—a major milestone towards institutionalizing best practices.
This is just the beginning! We look forward to continued progress in making FGPC an exemplary hospital for IPC practices. Let’s keep working towards safer and stronger healthcare systems!
