Taking a significant stride towards strengthening global healthcare collaborations, Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) hosted a mission from the World Health Organization (WHO) ) Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO).

The mission's visit was part of a strategic initiative to implement global cancer initiatives within Pakistan.

The distinguished mission team included Dr. Lamia Mahmood, Regional Adviser for Noncommunicable Disease Prevention; and Dr. Giuseppe Troisi, Technical Officer (Cancer Control), Noncommunicable Disease Prevention, UHC/NMH, WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean.

During the visit, the delegation toured ANTH’s specialized departments, including Oncology, Oncological Surgery, Diagnostics, One Stop Breast Clinic, Pediatrics, and the Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit.

The mission provided an opportunity for our Heads of Departments (HoDs) and their respective teams to offer brief, expert insights into the advanced services and clinical care provided at ANTH. The delegation’s visit highlighted the hospital’s commitment to aligning with international standards in cancer control and noncommunicable disease prevention.

Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) and Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC), constituent institutions of GAK HealthCare International, organized an insightful training session on Medical Ethics, focusing on the Doctor-Patient relationship in the light of Islam.

The session was delivered by Shaykh M***i Tauqeer, a scholar in Islamic jurisprudence with extensive experience in ethics, education, and professional development.

It was a pleasure to host a distinguished delegation from Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) at Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH), a constituent institution of GAK HealthCare International.

Led by RCCI President Usman Shaukat, and joined by Vice President Fahad Barlas and Executive Committee Member Naureen Ghafar, the delegation engaged in meaningful discussions with Group CEO Yasir Khan Niazi, Director ANTH Dr. Areej Neyazi, and Head of Communication Imran Ali Ghouri.
