Pharm D Pharmacology Lab Practical – Rabbit Eye Experiment 🐇👁️

Our Pharm D students performed a fascinating practical in the pharmacology lab to observe ocular muscle responses using atropine. The experiment demonstrated the effect of atropine on the rabbit’s eye, particularly focusing on pupillary changes and muscle contractions.

Through this hands-on learning experience, students enhanced their understanding of parasympathetic blockade, mydriasis, and the pharmacological action of anticholinergic drugs. Observing the physiological responses in real time strengthened their practical skills and reinforced key theoretical concepts.

Such lab sessions play a vital role in bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and clinical application, preparing our future pharmacists for evidence-based practice.
