Coronary Anatomy & ECG Leads.

1. The Anterior/Septal View (Green)
• Leads: V1, V2, V3, V4
• Heart Region: The Septum (the wall between the ventricles) and the Anterior wall (the front of the heart).
• Primary Artery: Left Anterior Descending (LAD). Because the LAD supplies such a large portion of the heart's pumping chamber, blockages here are often the most serious.

2. The Lateral View (Blue)
• Leads: I, aVL, V5, V6
• Heart Region: The Lateral wall (the left side of the heart).
• Primary Artery: Left Circumflex (LCx) or the Diagonal branches of the LAD. These leads look at the heart from the left side of the body.

3. The Inferior View (Red)
• Leads: II, III, aVF
• Heart Region: The Inferior wall (the bottom of the heart resting on the diaphragm).
• Primary Artery: Usually the Right Coronary Artery (RCA), though in some people, it is supplied by the Left Circumflex (LCx).

4. The "Unassigned" Lead (White)
• Lead: aVR
• Summary: This lead looks at the heart from the right shoulder, essentially looking into the "cavity" of the heart. It doesn't belong to a specific wall group, but changes here can sometimes indicate a blockage in the "Main Stem" (Left Main) of the coronary arteries.

Why this is important:
When you look at an ECG and sees abnormalities (like ST-segment elevation) in a specific "color group," you can instantly predict where the blockage is located. For example:
• Elevation in II, III, and aVF = Inferior MI (likely RCA blockage).
• Elevation in V1 through V4 = Anterior MI (likely LAD blockage).
