Just another day in English class, soaking in the words and ideas that shape our world.

In 2020 I watched a documentary on the FINLAND education system, and when I saw this survey I was stunned...

They attend school late at age 7..

They get only 2.8 hours of homework a week...

And they have only 4hours of teaching per day....

No graded exams until age 16....

But then they are ranked among the top 3 with the best education system, 😳🤯🤯

Ohhhh something is up there is something we do not understand about gaining knowledge in Pakistan..

From my little knowledge of our education system , students spend at the very least 6- 8 hours in school...

and within those hours they have cumulatively both long and short break an hour 30 minutes which lives us with 6 plus hours of teaching then extra lessons 🫣

Then homework back to back..

Our kids go to school as soon as they turn 2 years old😆😆, hmmmmm...

Ok woh,, and we are nowhere in the ranking..

Alright I don't know what we are doing wrong but one thing I am sure of , our education needs a total overhaul..
My opinion 🤷
