It always feels very special to be a part of the family on with and also loved meeting .
The program aimed at discussing the.effects of
"Negative Social Influences on children and how to deal with such issues as Parents".
It is the most challenging situation for parents in the current scenario and I feel really proud to be a part of such constructive talks.
Below is a summary of what was discussed:
Children are highly impressionable. The people they spend time with friends, older peers, online personalities, even characters in media can strongly shape their behavior, values, and self-image. When those influences are negative, the impact can be serious and long-lasting.
Bad influences may encourage:
Aggression, bullying, or disrespect
Lying, stealing, or rule-breaking
Risky behaviors such as substance use or violence
Children often imitate what they see, especially if the behavior seems โcoolโ or accepted by peers.
Poor Academic Performance
Lower concentration and motivation
Low self-esteem and self-doubt
Anxiety, stress, or depression
Feeling pressured to fit in or be someone theyโre not
Children may struggle silently if they fear judgment or rejection.
Weak Moral Values
How Parents Can Protect Their Children
1. Build Strong Communication
2. Teach Values Early
3. Know Their Friends and Environment
4. Encourage Positive Activities
5. Teach Them to Handle Peer Pressure
6. Be Present and Involved
7. Spend quality time together
Parents canโt control every influence but they can shape how children respond to them. With love, guidance, and consistency, parents can help children grow into confident individuals who make healthy choices, even in a challenging social world.
