Historic TKR Course & Sawbones Workshop Held in Chakdara

A landmark one-day Total Knee Replacement (TKR) Course & Sawbones Workshop was successfully conducted on 31st May 2025 at Abeer Saeed Memorial Hospital, Chakdara (Malakand Division, KPK). Organized under the leadership of Dr. Bilal Khan as the Chief Organizer, this pioneering event marked the first-ever orthopedic surgical skills course in the Malakand Division.

The course featured an eminent faculty from Mingora, Timergara, Lahore, and Karachi, delivering:
✔ Didactic lectures
✔ Interactive case discussions
✔ Hands-on sawbones surgical training

With 30 enthusiastic participants, the workshop received outstanding feedback for its practical approach and academic rigor. This initiative sets a benchmark for decentralized surgical education, proving that excellence can thrive beyond major cities.

Special commendation to Dr. Bilal Khan and his team for their visionary efforts in executing this flawless academic activity. May this inspire more faculty in peripheral centers to empower local trainees!

Dear POA Colleagues,

POA Monthly Clinical Meeting was held yesterday at DIMC under the leadership of Prof. Nusrat Rasheed. A wide variety of cases were presented by the residents. Each case was followed by an enlightening discussion within the senior and junior ortho faculty present there. Hopefully, despite all negative political pressures from within, this will be a regular monthly academic event.
