16 Years and Still Strong: The Power of Joint Preservation! 🦡✨

We are thrilled to share a remarkable 16-year follow-up of a patient treated with High Tibial Osteotomy (HTO) using the Ilizarov technique.

At the time of surgery, the goal was to correct the mechanical axis and delay the need for a total knee replacement. Fast forward nearly two decades:
βœ… The joint space is preserved.
βœ… The alignment remains perfect.
βœ… Most importantly, the patient remains active and pain-free!

This case highlights why the Ilizarov method remains a "gold standard" for precise deformity correction. By utilizing the body's natural healing power (distraction osteogenesis), we aren't just fixing a bone; we are preserving a lifestyle.

Witnessing such long-term success is the ultimate reward for any surgeon. Here’s to many more years of mobility!
