Nutrition Interventions of PPHI Sindh PPHI Sindh is implementing Nutrition interventions in Sindh since March 2016.

These interventions mainly focus on the management of severly malnourished children This page is to highlight the nutrition interventions all over Sindh where nutritional clinics (Out-Patient Therapeutic Program) OTP sites are established where children with severe acute malnutrition have been treated. The Project AAP and EU PINS is working in 23 districts of Sindh Including Badin, Ghotki, Hyderab

ad, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Khairpur, Mirpurkhas, Nowsheroferoze, Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Dadu, Larkana, Shikarpur, Qamber Shadadkot, Matiari, Sujawal, Thatta, Tando Allah Yar, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Jamshoro. Despite OTP sites Nutrition Stabilization Centre is also established in every district of AAP where children with medical complications have also been treated

DO HYD. On Monday 14 February 2022, Secretary Health paid a surprised visit to the Liaquat University of Management hospital Jamshoro and Civil hospital Hyderabad. Whereas he also visited the NSC ward managed by PPHI Sindh. District Manager Hyderabad Rida Talpur and DNC Sajan Das were present in ward and Secretary Health was briefed by District Manager Hyderabad regarding the services and facilities of the ward. He inquired about the coordination between OTP sites, follow-ups, and current cases. DM told Secretary Health regarding the liaison between PPHI Sindh managed Health Facilities and NSC ward as well as about follow-ups after getting discharged and mortality rate. Pediatrics Department GMMMC Sukkur arranged a free medical camp in Salehpat. PPHI Nutrition team established a screening corner for the identification of SAM children. In the camp, Total children were screened 152. Out of them 12 SAM children and 18 MAM children were identified. The camp was inaugurated by Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah.

A wonderful Inauguration Ceremony of newly Repair & Renovated Basic Health Unit plus Hatri took place on January 27, 2022. Under the supervision of Regional Director Sir Moula Bux Solangi & DM Hyderabad, Rida Talpur. The chief guest of the event was Syed Tarique Hussain Shah (MNA-PPP Hyderabad) who was delighted to see all the facilities provided by PPHI Sindh to the rural community of Hyderabad. The District Manager took the stage to inform the guests regarding the overall performance of district Hyderabad, while Regional Director, gave an insightful speech on the overall motto of PPHI in Sindh. The chief guest was also given a detailed tour of the facility. The community also applauded the performance of the center. In the end MNA, Mr. Tarique Hussain also told that “he would provide new ambulance soon.”

On January 17, 2022, Honourable Mr. Nazar Memon, Member Board of Director along with Miss Rida Talpur, District Manager Hyderabad, Mr. Shafiq Ahmed Agro, District Manager Jamshoro visited Newly established NSC at LUMH Hyderabad, Mr. Sajan Das, DNC Hyderabad & Mr. Imtiaz Ali Channar, Pediatrician, LUMH Hyderabad briefed about the admission procedures, common complications of Malnourished children, referral mechanism of children from OTP sites and NSC follow-ups.
