IMPORTANCE OF PET CT (NCCI)
64 Slice best in Pakistan
A patient with history of difficulty in eating referred to ENT doctor & after investigation biopsy done which was negative. Patient went to home & rested for 6 months and came to NCCI Prof. Dr. A. Sattar M. Hashim asked for PET CT which revealed throat cancer, spreaded to lungs, liver, skeleton & brain. Patient was declare as unstable and at terminal stages & untreatable. unfortunately he died on next day while going back to Multan. Had he has done PET CT in addition to biopsy, he would have been treated well.
