The journey for the pursuit of academic excellence and community service began from school. Being siblings, we spent almost 26 years together; with strong support for each other. Today, I am extremely happy to share that my only Brother Vinod Kumar got selected as the principal candidate for the PhD program of the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) , one of the largest academic & cultural exchange programs worldwide.
He is one of the 64 PhD candidates selected this year from Pakistan, and he is moving to this evening.

I ended up my extracurricular activities this year by becoming Executive Committee Member of 'Child Early and Forced marriages' of Commonwealth Youth Gender & Equality Network (CYGEN). One of the well-known initiatives of the Royal Commonwealth Society of

Becoming a part of two globally renown networks is not just an honour for my family, but a source of overwhelming happiness for my whole community.

We both are very eager to give back to our country after completing our post graduate studies and becoming experts in our respective fields.

The wait is over and the applications for Salamti Fellowship Cohort VIII are open.

"Salamti Fellowship" is a 7-day, Residential, Tech-Free, FULLY FUNDED fellowship program where Peace Seekers and Activists aged between 18 -35 years from all around Pakistan can participate. We will be gathering at one location, away from the noise and distractions of our surroundings at a serene location for 7 days where Peace Gurus, Academicians, Specialists on the subject of nonviolence, and professionals working on peace and development will be working with us through a week-long program of workshops, exercises and activities to ensure that we achieve not only the best of abilities to work for the peace of the society but for our own peace and development as well.

With seven successful fellowships, we have a pool of 210 brilliant Salamti Fellows from over 60 districts of Pakistan who are not just working for the promotion of peace, inclusivity and interfaith harmony within the country but in different parts of the world as well.

Team Youth For Humanity is excited to announce that the applications for Leadership Training For Young Peace Leaders are OPEN!

Project Youth For Humanity aims to promote social cohesion, peace, and social harmony in Pakistan through diversified engagement to promote tolerance and inclusivity in society. The project will bring together 150 youth from 2 regions i.e. Karachi & Lahore for training, peace dialogues, and youth-led community initiatives.
The training will help the youth to acquire skills and capabilities as effective leaders and citizens. These youth leaders will form Youth for Humanity Network to play their part in contributing to social harmony, promotion of tolerance, and inclusivity in their respective communities.

Criteria
1- Between the age of 18 to 35 years
2- Resident of Karachi Region (Karachi, Badin, Mirpur Khas, Umerkot) or Lahore Regions (Lahore, Faisalabad, Narowal, Sheikhupura).
3- Minimum Qualification Primary/ Madrasa students
4- Can speak and understand Urdu, knowing the local languages will be an asset.
