Today, Dr. Faisal Samdani, the Director of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, addressed the House officers during their peaceful protest. He assured us that the salaries will be released by August 28th. Consequently, it was decided that they will refrain from closing the OPD until August 28th and will continue their peaceful protest/boycott until then.

KMC & Abbasi Shaheed Hospital yet again failed meeting their official contracts with House Officers inducted in April 2024. This has become a shameless tradition!
6th April, the day when core workforce of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, the house officers were inducted with fixed stipend of Rs. 45, 000/-
April, May, June and July - In these four hectic months each house officer dedicatedly served for patient care. UNPAID. Endless EM- & Non-EM calls, no weekends, physical & mental health draining and bank accounts exhausting. Yet unpaid to this date. Who owns the misery?

18th July- With some hope still left, the doctors filed an official application. Young doctors were not surprised when the application returned no response. Did it also become a part of dusty pile of files in store room?

1st August, the month of independence began with straining the freedom of young doctors' rights. A protest was held where no ER duty was neglected. Negotiations behind closed doors resulted in calling off the protest, the same day. The promise of releasing stipend by 20th August, remains a promise. Where is our money & why is it taking infinite time?
21st August - Young doctors continue fighting for freedom and strategically demonstrated a full-show sit-in and protest against KMC and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. It has been 3 days, three long days, where patients suffer because of administration. Unpaid and overworked, does a doctor deserve this?

All doctors witnessed closed doors of admin suite when they persistently chanted slogans.
Throughout the three-day protest, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab has not provided any statement, let alone relief.
Director and Medical Superintendent ASH deny speeding up the process as according to them their part is done and rest lies in hands of KMC.

We, the members of the Young Doctors Association KMC Pakistan, are deeply saddened and outraged by the horrific incident involving the r**e and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

This heinous act is not just a brutal attack on one of our fellow medical professionals but also a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by healthcare workers worldwide. Our hearts go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of the victim during this unimaginably difficult time.

We stand in solidarity with our counterparts in Kolkata, demanding justice and stronger protection for all those who dedicate their lives to the service of humanity. In honoring the memory of our dear colleague, we must work together to ensure that such a tragedy never occurs again.

ینگ ڈاکٹرز ایسوسی ایشن عباسی شہید ہسپتال شدید غمزدہ ہے اور عباسی شہید ہسپتال میں انتھک محنت کرنے والے ایک سرشار ہاؤس آفیسر ڈاکٹر اسامہ انجم کے اغوا کی شدید الفاظ میں مذمت کرتی ہے۔ ڈاکٹر انجم کا کمیونٹی کی خدمت کرنے اور ضرورت مندوں کو طبی دیکھ بھال فراہم کرنے کا عزم ہمارے پیشے کی اقدار کی مثال ہے۔

یہ انتہائی تشویش کے ساتھ ہے کہ ہمیں ڈاکٹر انجم کے اغوا کا علم ہوا ہے، اور ہم اس مشکل وقت میں ان کے خاندان، دوستوں اور ساتھیوں کے ساتھ یکجہتی کے ساتھ کھڑے ہیں۔ صحت کی دیکھ بھال کرنے والے پیشہ ور افراد کے خلاف تشدد کی ایسی کارروائیاں نہ صرف افسوسناک ہیں بلکہ عوام کو فراہم کی جانے والی صحت کی اہم خدمات کو بھی نقصان پہنچاتی ہیں۔

ہم حکام سے مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ ڈاکٹر انجم کی بحفاظت واپسی کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے فوری اور فیصلہ کن اقدام کریں۔ اس کی بازیابی میں تیزی لانے اور اس گھناؤنے جرم کے مرتکب افراد کو انصاف کے کٹہرے میں لانے کے لیے ہر ممکن کوشش کی جانی چاہیے۔ صحت کی دیکھ بھال کرنے والے پیشہ ور افراد کی حفاظت اور بہبود کو ترجیح دی جانی چاہیے، اور مستقبل میں ایسے واقعات کو روکنے کے لیے اقدامات کیے جائیں۔

The concerned parties are urged to address these serious allegations promptly and adhere to legal procedures. Failure to respond within the stipulated timeframe may result in further legal actions.

Let this be a warning to everyone whose using the name of Yoing Doctors Association (YDA Sindh) without being designated officer barrier they will be taken to the court and strict action will be taken against them

On this auspicious day, October 11, 2023, the recently elected cabinet of YDA Abbasi Shaheed Hospital had the privilege of meeting with the esteemed Director and M.S. Our purpose was to formally introduce our newly elected cabinet and engage in a constructive discussion regarding the concerns of our postgraduate trainees and house officers.

Our primary focus was on expediting the disbursal of salaries for both our dedicated house officers and committed postgraduate students. We are delighted to share that we are diligently monitoring this situation, and, Insha'aAllah, the salary release is imminent.
