In this video, I am sharing another sketchbook from my collection, in which I have memories of my academics during various design projects. I conceptualised many ideas for products out of which I selected a few and realised the products in real-time prototyping, modelling and then final products.

Design Concepts are the roots of every visible thing in our surroundings. These are the invisible building blocks of every material object.

Everything is created based on a concept, nothing is created without a concept. The shape, colour, and all visible parameters whether these are the exterior or interior parts of an object are determined by the design concept which is the base of the creation process.

Designers initiate the creation process in their minds and then with their pencils on paper and then as a result...... the final product is materialized in a solid object gradually.

In this video, I am sharing my latest sketchbook, in which I conceptualize many products and designs ranging from product design, architecture, art and fiction/imaginary products.

Whenever I start to draw, many ideas come to my mind, which I translate through my sketching. Our mind is a transmitter that receives abstracts from the higher planes, yet we are responsible for the direction of our minds to direct and receive ideas either from the higher plane or to make them granitized to lower planes.

In this video, I am sharing one of my sketchbooks from 5 years ago when I was learning Islamic Geometry from the dept. of Islamic Arts after completing my Bachelor of Industrial Design program at the University.

My main attraction to geometry was the essence of spiritualism I sensed before it calligraphy and reading books about Sufism was my hobby but when I started learning and practising Islamic Geometry I realized it is all about the Inner Journey, as well as I kept practising I felt spirituality and connection with the Almighty current that flows in all of us. I am sharing this, please take a look.

While designing a product, designing each and every detail of a product is a decision for the designer.

The decision about determining…

• Whether the detail complies with the main objectives of the product and with the overall design or not.

• The element is in accordance with the foundation of the design or not?

• Whether this particular element, which is being considered, necessary for the main structure or not?

The designer must keep the main objectives of the product in focus.

For designing each product idea a lot of sketching is done representing variations in design in accordance with user requirements.

I am thinking about the logical reasons for using curves in my design work while waiting for inspiration from nature to teach me intuitively the importance of curves in creative work.

I invite you all to pay attention to the creations around you and observe the design and its functions and think about how curves help the creatures to function in a perfect manner which can’t be achieved smoothly otherwise.

When I start designing something, a lot of ideas come into my mind, mind which I said earlier is a receiver and transmitter at the same time. It receives and transmits ideas, ideas that come from an abstract world, further it reveals its variations and multiplies to form a concept and formation of a tangible creation.

In other words, I say any creation is a material reflection of an idea which indicates its source and the source of all creations is found in the abstract world from where all comes and goes when its time reaches an end here.

It is noticeable that the journey does not end but the creations enter the world of light after passing from the world of materials.
