This Independence Day, let’s remember — true freedom is more than raising our flag, it’s ensuring every Pakistani can see it clearly. 🇵
Millions in Pakistan still live without access to quality eye care, especially in underserved communities. Real independence will only be achieved when healthcare, including sight-saving services, is equally available to all — regardless of income, gender, or location.
Let’s work together for a future where every eye sees the same horizon of hope.

Other members of our team who were present and made a significant impact with their part in the workshop include Samina Mazhar, Dr Leena, Tabinda Hanif, Shabir Almani, umme shifa, and Bisma Jafri
Key discussions included:
- Aligning WHO cataract guidelines with national standards

- Prioritizing breadwinners and individuals with disabilities
- Tackling the carbon footprint of cataract surgeries through reduced waste and sustainable practices

80% of visual impairment is preventable . Yet millions still live in the dark—because care is unaffordable. At Vision Trust, we believe quality eye care should be a right, not a privilege.
Every week, we meet a child who can’t see the board in class. Not because of a rare disease. Not because it’s untreatable. But because their family couldn’t afford a simple eye test.
We’re changing that—one child, one smile, one clear view at a time. Join us in ensuring no child loses their vision to poverty.
Share this to spread hope and awareness.

From a small village in 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻, he traveled hundreds of kilometers to Karachi.
Fazal Buksh vision had been fading, but access to eye care was far from home—and far from affordable.
At Khairunnisa Eye Hospital, he was welcomed, examined, and treated at no cost.
Because here, quality eye care is a right, not a privilege.
Every day, we see stories like Fazal Buksh, patients who overcome long distances, financial struggles, and physical challenges just for the chance to see again.
In Pakistan, 𝟮𝟲.𝟯𝟯 million people suffer from eye health issues, and 𝟭.𝟳𝟲 million live with extreme blindness. These are not just numbers—they are lives, families, and futures. Let’s do something for them.
Your support helps make these journeys worth it. Help us make someone’s life flourish again—not just survive. https://visiontrust.pk/donations
If this story touched you, share it so more people know that hope for sight exists beyond the boundaries of money.

Weekly Impact Report | 28 July – 02 August 2025
Khairunisa Eye Hospital continues its mission to deliver quality free eye care with compassion and precision. Here’s what we achieved this week:
- 1,052 OPD Patients Served
- 115 Surgeries Successfully Performed
- 87 Glasses Provided for Clearer Vision
- 141 Diagnostic Procedures Conducted
Every number tells a story of restored sight, renewed hope, and lives touched through dedicated care.
Together, we're making vision accessible — one patient at a time.
Last week, in collaboration with CBM International, Vision Trust brought eye care directly to four local Madarsas — where it's needed most.
Over just six days:
1,136 children were screened
224 received glasses, giving them the gift of clear vision
129 new cases of poor vision were identified
17 teachers trained to detect early signs and guide students toward care
Awareness sessions were conducted — opening eyes to the power of early detection
Meanwhile, preparations for the RARE Survey gained momentum:
Team training completed
Coordination meeting with Commissioner West Karachi to align data collection
Change doesn’t always begin with headlines — it begins with one child, one teacher, one clear view at a time.
