A 55-year-old male suffered an intertrochanteric fracture due to a road traffic accident and presented to us in severe pain and unable to weight bear on affected limb. Considering his condition, I performed a Bipolar Hemiarthroplasty (Partial Hip Replacement) to restore his function and mobility.

Alhamdulillah, the surgery was successful, and the patient started mobilizing just a day after the procedure! Early mobilization plays a crucial role in faster recovery and reducing complications.

"📢 Patient Case Update: Adamantinoma Surgery

A 26-year-old female patient recently presented to me with pain and a deformity in her leg. After conducting a thorough workup, including MRI and biopsy, she was diagnosed with Adamantinoma.

In planning her treatment, I opted for a wide margin excision to remove the affected bone. To restore structural integrity, I used her contralateral fibula as a strut graft to fill the excised tumor gap. The graft was then secured with a locking compression plate to ensure stability. Additionally, we used bone morphogenetic proteins to promote healing and encourage new bone growth.

Case Update: Nonunion Neck of Femur Fracture

A 15-year-old boy presented to me after a road traffic accident five months ago, which resulted in a neck of femur fracture. Unfortunately, the fracture had not healed, leading to a nonunion. To address this challenging case, I performed a fibular strut graft and fixed the fracture using cannulated hip screws to stabilize the bone.

This procedure offers the young patient a chance at optimal healing and a return to normal activities. Cases like these remind us of the importance of specialized orthopedic intervention in pediatric fractures to ensure long-term recovery.

I treated a 45-year-old male patient who sustained a severe intraarticular comminuted fracture of the proximal tibia due to a road traffic accident. Using a closed reduction technique, I applied an Ilizarov external fixator, a method that allows for precise fracture alignment and early mobilization.

The good news? Our patient began mobilizing just one day after surgery with full weight-bearing, thanks to the stability and versatility of the Ilizarov frame. This approach not only promotes faster recovery but also enables patients to return to daily activities sooner.

💪 Early mobilization is crucial for rehabilitation, and I'm glad to see our patient making excellent progress on his path to recovery!

📢 Case Update: Successful Management of Giant Cell Tumor of the Left Foot 📢

A 30-year-old male presented with a swelling in his left foot. Following a detailed evaluation, MRI findings raised suspicion of a Giant Cell Tumor (GCT). To confirm, a biopsy was performed, which validated the diagnosis of GCT.

Given the nature of the tumor, a wide margin resection was planned and executed to ensure complete removal. For joint stability, we performed an arthrodesis using a fibular graft. Post-surgery, an excisional biopsy revealed tumor-free margins, reassuring us of a complete resection.

📈 Patient Progress: The patient is recovering well, and his follow-up results indicate a positive trajectory. We are optimistic about his full recovery and functional outcomes.

I'm excited to share a recent case involving a 15-year-old girl diagnosed with a Giant Cell Tumor of the proximal tibia. The patient underwent four injections of Denosumab.Following the injections, I performed an extended curettage to meticulously remove the tumor. The resulting bone defect was filled with bone cement and proximal tibia locking compression plate was applied.
The patient is now on the path to recovery, demonstrating significant improvement in both pain and mobility.
