After the consultation with consultant families Liyari and Lines area, Peer advisors with their team of Peer educators revised their plans and discussed with Professor Panos Vostanis.
On the basis of advises and suggestions from consultant families Peer educators and Peer advisers finalised the planning for ten community awareness sessions to be held with group of youths (boys and girls, teachers, mothers and grand mothers).
Stay tunned for the updates of community awareness sessions held in Lyari and Lines area.

To initiate the series of Ten Community Awareness session, our fourteen Peer educators received two days intensed training by Professor Panos Vostanis. On day one Peer educators received training on project planningand institutions to conduct small group discussions.

After the training related to project planning Peer educators were divided into two groups and assigned each area (Lyari and Lines area) respectively. In each group Peer Educators discussed the ideas and presented their plans related to community awareness sessions.

"From Victim to Victory"

To learn from the hardship and difficulties faced by females from Marginalized community of Baldia, Peer educators visited Hunarghar welfare Organization located and met females who resides and work in Hunarghar and earning bread and butter for themselves by learning Vocational skills by professionals. This way they support and earn for themselves.

Hafza Shah as Youth engagement lead from world awareness for children in trauma delivered a speech titled “From trauma to resilience/ Personal experience of succes stories from Pakistan” with Peer educators. Tapping into the families unique knowledge and complementing those with training.
This project aim to design an awareness program targeting different communities on how to build resilience in the face of trauma and adversity.
These personal experiences from Hafza Shah will be helpful for our Peer educators to plan and design community awareness workshop in future.

Clinical Psychologist Miss Sukoon Fatima conducted online training for Peer educators to understand cognitive dissonance and changing thinking styles which is an important concept in the field of Psychology.
