The first cabinet meeting of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) JPMC Unit was held successfully with active participation of cabinet members and senior leadership.
The meeting was formally initiated by Dr. Shahid Awan, President, Young Doctors Association JPMC, and commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Vice President YDA, Dr. Munawar Mazari.
On the invitation of the Young Doctors Association JPMC, distinguished guests including Patron-in-Chief YDA Pakistan, Dr. Umar Sultan, and Chairman YDA Sindh, Surgeon Dr. Farukh Rauf, attended the meeting.
The official announcement of the YDA JPMC Unit cabinet was made, and responsibilities were assigned to cabinet members for upcoming programs and organizational activities.
A detailed discussion was held on the key challenges faced by doctors at JPMC, along with practical ways to resolve these issues and facilitate young doctors. The discussion reflected the core objective of the meeting: to identify doctors’ problems, develop a practical roadmap for their resolution, and strengthen the role of YDA JPMC in safeguarding the rights, welfare, and professional facilitation of young doctors.
Strong emphasis was placed on the early resolution of salary-related issues of young doctors, with a clear commitment to pursue the matter on priority.
The office bearers of newly formed societies within the organization were announced to strengthen academic, professional, and welfare activities.
Cabinet members from various wards of JPMC participated in the meeting, ensuring wide representation and unity.
The meeting concluded with a unified resolve to work collectively for the welfare of doctors and the improvement of healthcare services at JPMC.
