Pedaling for a Purpose! 🚴‍♀️

Dow Institute of Cardiology, in collaboration with DPCA, DCS, and Beyond the White Coat, proudly hosted a Bikeathon that brought our community together for two incredible causes:

❤️ Raising funds for non-affording patients

💪 Promoting active lifestyles and creating awareness regarding importance of cardiovascular screening

With every mile, we rode for change — supporting those in need and championing preventive health through physical activity. 

A huge thank you to all participants, volunteers, and sponsors who made this meaningful event a success! 🌟

We proudly celebrated World Heart Day with a series of impactful and heart-healthy activities, uniting the community under the theme of "Don't Miss A Beat".

The day began with an Awareness Walk to promote cardiovascular health, followed by the inauguration of our state-of-the-art Cardiac Rehabilitation Services by our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nazli Hossain.

🎤 An engaging Awareness Seminar educated attendees about heart health and lifestyle changes, where exercise gadgets were distributed to encourage regular physical activity. This session was graced by our respected Pro VC Prof. Dr. Jahan Ara, Principal DIMC Prof. Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Asima Faisal, Dr. Izhar Hussain and esteemed faculty members.

🩺 A Free Screening Camp was also held to assess cardiovascular risk factors, empowering individuals with knowledge about their heart health.

The event concluded on a sweet yet healthy note with a special fruit-based cake cutting ceremony, promoting nutritious eating as the key to a healthy heart. 🍓🍎🍍

We thank everyone who joined hands with us in making this day a success. Let's continue to take steps—literally and figuratively—towards a heart-healthy future! 💓👣

An incredible ECG workshop was conducted by DIC with over 150 participants🌟

This activity was accredited with 05 CME hours by DUHS.

The event was graced by the presence of Prinicpal DIMC, Prof Dr Iftekhar Ahmed.

We are extreemely thankful to our course director Prof Dr M Tariq Farman for his mentorship, and our organisers, expert facilitators and enthusiastic participants for making it a huge success! 💡

Participants walked away with skills and a deeper understanding of ECG interpretation.
