Huge congratulations to our Interventional Cardiology Fellow, Dr. Mishal Zehra, and Assistant Professor, Dr. M Hashim, for their outstanding presentations at EuroPCR 2025! Dr. Zehra showcased 2 complex cases and presented a research abstract at one of the world's largest interventional cardiology conferences. We're thrilled to see Dow Institute of Cardiology, DUHS shine on the global stage!

World Hypertension Day

Dow Institute of Cardiology Organized a Hypertension Awareness Walk

In an effort to raise awareness about hypertension—often referred to as the "silent killer"—the Dow Institute of Cardiology organized a Hypertension Awareness Walk. The event aimed to educate the public about the importance of early detection and regular monitoring of blood pressure to prevent serious health complications.

Following the walk, fruits were distributed among patients as a symbolic and practical step to promote the importance of a heart-healthy diet.

Hypertension claims the lives of hundreds every month, often without noticeable symptoms. This awareness initiative was a step toward empowering the community with knowledge and encouraging proactive health checkups.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants who walked with purpose, learned valuable information, and stood in solidarity for heart health.

Eid Mubarak!

Our Head of Department, Prof Dr M Tariq Farman, hosted a wonderful Eid Milan gathering, bringing together our juniors and colleagues for a day filled with smiles and happiness!

It was wonderful to see everyone coming together to celebrate the spirit of Eid and strengthen our bonds as a team.
