We are pleased to announce that Dr. Shahnawaz Sajid has joined High Q Pharma as Chief Executive Officer – Global & Strategic Operations.

Dr. Sajid brings over 21 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of transforming companies, driving international expansion, and spearheading breakthrough innovations globally.

In his previous role as President of Macter International, he led the company’s transformation into one of the most innovative and fastest-growing pharmaceutical companies, significantly expanding its product pipeline, scientific and technical operations, and international business. Under his leadership, Macter achieved remarkable growth in productivity, gross profit, and profitability, while rapidly entering new global markets.

Before Macter, Dr. Sajid served as Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Novugen Pharma (Malaysia), where he played a pivotal role in establishing US FDA & PIC/S-approved oncology and non-oncology manufacturing plants. He also set up a state-of-the-art R&D Center of Excellence, renowned for developing complex, non-infringing dosage forms and APIs. Additionally, he led the establishment of a manufacturing plant in Uzbekistan to cater to the CIS market.

With a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Dr. Sajid is a recognized expert in US FDA plant design, ANDA submissions, complex generics, and international market strategy. He has successfully developed and launched over 100 pharmaceutical products, including NCE-1, FTF, CGT products, orphan drugs, and niche pharmaceuticals, across the US, EU, GCC, CIS, ASEAN, and RoW markets. He also holds multiple patents and has published several research papers in leading scientific journals.

At High Q Pharma, Dr. Sajid will lead local and global strategic operations, focusing on expanding international markets, driving innovation, and strengthening regulatory excellence.
