Lipedema is a chronic fat disorder primarily affecting women, causing painful, symmetrical fat buildup in legs/hips (sometimes arms), sparing hands/feet.
**Symptoms:** Disproportionate fat, tenderness, easy bruising, pain.
**Stages:** Progresses from smooth skin (1) to nodules (2), folds (3), and secondary lymphedema (4).
**Treatment:** Liposuction is the mainstay of treatment and is effective in treating lipedema especially in early stages
**🩹 Early diagnosis is critical!** This condition is often underdiagnosed & misunderstood.
