🩵 On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, children took part in a variety of fun and meaningful activities, from tug of war to catch-catch, blowing activities, flower-making, hand painting and bowling. Each activity had a purpose and offered important developmental benefits:

💪 Tug of war helped build strength, teamwork, confidence and body awareness.
🎾 Catch-catch supported hand–eye coordination, motor planning, attention and social play.
🌬️ Blowing activities strengthened oral-motor skills, breath control, focus and self-regulation.
🌸 Flower-making encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, sensory exploration and self-expression.
🎨 Hand painting stimulated creativity, sensory integration, fine motor skills and emotional expression.
🎳 Bowling promoted coordination, motor planning, focus, turn-taking and social interaction.

🌿 The purpose was simple yet powerful: to help our children feel included, capable and celebrated, reminding them and us that their abilities are no less than anyone else’s.

🌿 World Occupational Therapy Day 2025

💪Theme: OT in Action!

♾️ At Shifaam Wellness Place, we celebrated the day with our amazing parents and little stars showcasing the power of occupational therapy in everyday life.

🧿 Parents enjoyed OT-inspired activities such as a word search, mandala colouring and a sensory walk, experiencing the same calming environment their children love.

🌈 Our young learners explored ADL books and social story sessions, making learning fun, meaningful and full of smiles.

🙏🏻 A heartfelt thank you to all parents for their love and participation. This was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.
