Dr Taj Medical & Diagnostic Centre, operational since 2005, is easily approachable from all corners of city, The centre is well equipped with all modern sate of the art medical services under one roof. The facilities include Laboratory , Ultrasound, ECG, ETT, X-Ray, Physiotherapy, a vaccination centre and an executive clinic. The Centre caters to all out patients as well as those candidates who require medical examination for insurance and employment purpose. The Centre is registered with MMD / Ministry of Port and Shipping of Pakistan and ILO (International Labor Organization) for conducting pre-sea and pre-employment medical examination of sea-farers for various local and international shipping companies. Some of the major clientele includes local and international shipping companies such as A.P. Moller-Maersk, Dynacom Tankers Management Ltd., Wallem Ship Management Ltd., Shell Shipping & Maritime, Mediterranean Shipping Co., Univan Ship Management Ltd., Pakistan National Shipping Corporation, Terra Marine, M-International, and other institutions like Port Qasim Authority, State Life Corporation of Pakistan etc. The Centre is also approved for medical examination of COC revalidation for MCA(UK), AMSA ( Australia), MPA (Singapore), Malaysia and Norway. Dr. Taj Medical & Diagnostic Centre is owned and run by Dr. Taj Muhammad Awan, a retired Colonel from Pakistan Armed Forces having served 25 years as a medical specialist in different military hospitals such as MH and CMH Rawalpindi, PNS Hafeez Islamabad, AFIH and CMH Kharain. In his last assignment in military, he served as a staff surgeon (Captain) in Pakistan Navy at Naval Central Surgery, Karachi for almost a decade. It is pertinent to mention here that this centre is registered for pre-sea medical examination of seafarers, approved by the Ministry of Port & Shipping Pakistan.
