Dog Parvo Virus (Canine Parvovirus - CPV)
This is a very contagious and deadly virus that affects dogs, especially small puppies. This virus mainly attacks the stomach and intestinal tract.

🔬 What is Parvo Virus?

Parvovirus is a DNA virus that grows rapidly and can survive in the environment for months. The main form of this is CPV-2.

❗ How does it spread?

From coming in contact with the infected dog fertilizer (stool).

Infected food, water, utensils, land or human shoes.

This virus is very resistant (strong) and can live on the surface for 6-12 months.

Symptoms (Symptoms)

1. High Fever (102–106°F)

2. Heavy vomiting (Vomiting)

3. Bloody Diarrhea

4. Dehydration

5. Laziness / falling weak

6. Don't get hungry

7. Weight incident

8. Glue can be dry and yellow

💉 Rescue (Prevention)

1. Vaccination (Vaccination):

First vaccine at 6 weeks old

Booster again every 2-3 weeks (3-4 times)

Annual booster dose again

2. Prevention from infected places

3. Don't let the newborn puppies out

4. Keep the cleanliness up

💊 Treatment (Treatment)

There is no direct cure for Parvo, but supportive treatment can save puppies:

IV Fluid to prevent dehydration
Antibiotics to prevent secondary infection
Antiemetics to prevent vomiting
Painkillers to ease the pain
Probiotics for the stomach

> Treatment should always be under the supervision of Veterinary Doctor.

6 weeks to 6 months unvaccinated puppies

Crowded kennel or street dogs
