A day of immersive learning and skill-building at Ward 23!
​We successfully concluded our hands-on workshop on Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) in ICU today. As a key feature of the 55th Annual Medical Symposium, this session provided our clinicians with intensive bedside training.
​The program, held at the Soorty Building Conference Room, focused on practical image acquisition and clinical integration to enhance rapid decision-making for our critically ill patients. Participants benefited from:
​Short, focused interactive lectures.
​Live demonstrations and small-group scanning stations.
​Case-based discussions based on real ICU scenarios.
​Special thanks to our focal person, Dr. Faraz Kazmi, and the entire Medical ICU Ward 23 team for organizing such a high-impact session.

Medical Unit-IV & Medical ICU, Ward-23 JPMC, was proud to host its Annual Faculty & Residents Dinner.
​The evening served as a formal recognition of the milestones achieved by our postgraduate trainees. We celebrated the completion of training for our 2nd-year and 4th-year residents, acknowledging their immense contribution to the unit’s clinical and academic standards.
​The event also marked the official welcome of our newest batch of residents. Under the guidance of our faculty, we continue to strive for excellence in healthcare and medical education at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

There is no classroom quite like a clinical round with Professor Emeritus Syed Masroor Ahmed. On 12th Jan 2026 at the JPMC Medical ICU, we had the incredible opportunity to observe his bedside manner and diagnostic precision firsthand.

Academic Activity | Medical Unit–IV

An engaging case presentation on Secondary Polycythemia secondary to Cyanotic Congenital Heart Disease with Eisenmenger syndrome was conducted as part of our ongoing academic activities.
The session was headed by our worthy HOD, Dr. Zeeshan, and presented by Dr. Shayan encouraging meaningful academic discussion and clinical insight among residents and faculty.
