So I want to tell every one about the ordeal our ward 6 JPMC went through a week back. We had a patient 70 yrs old with urosepsis admitted on 20th march with delirium. His xray was completely fine.. he was treated got better we decided to discharge him but there was an ultrasound pending so decided to get the ultrasound and then discharge. Patient developed fever. Counts were mounting repeat urine dr showed pus cells. Changes antibiotic and send urine culture. Patient has no chest symptoms. On sunday night he developed shortness of breath and was tachypneic. On monday morning round he has started dropping his saturation. A repeat xray.. was worse xray ever.. shifted to isolation COVID test done. Patient expired and COVID positive.. this lead to self isolation of every one. 126 ppl. Doctors, nurse,paramedics and lower staff. closed male and female side one by one fumigated and washed.. it was most stressful week.. despite self isolation we did our duties in the ward.
Allhamdulilah all test came negative..
