OnQual, as the name suggests is an organization, developed to provide efficient quality health solutions to varied and diverse requirements of industry such as Pharmaceuticals, Hospitals in public and private sectors, HCOs and patients’ groups. Quality, Compliance and Safety are the fundamental driving elements of the organization. This is important because in country like Pakistan, there is a dearth of knowledge about international standards of Quality and safety being implemented in the developed countries. Moreover in Pakistan, Regulatory mechanisms are either non-existent or very weak. These mechanisms are not capable of regulating different processes in various stakeholders according to FDA/EU requirements due to lack of knowledge, systems and trained personnel. This shortfall at the level of regulators in general and service providers in particular has a propensity to result into compromised and unsafe end product, that is ‘Care delivery to Patients’, This is true at all levels, whether for individual or for community initiatives.
