HWSK proudly shares that our Founder & CEO, Raheel Ahmed Khan, participated in the World Kidney Day Health Awareness Seminar on Prevention, Diagnosis & Treatment of Kidney Diseases as a member of the FPCCI CSR Central Standing Committee on Medical & Health Sciences.

The seminar, organized by Dr. Zahid Hasan Ansari Convener, FPCCI Central SC on Medical & Health Sciences featured key addresses, expert presentations, and an interactive Q&A session with leading healthcare professionals and policymakers.

During the event, Raheel Ahmed Khan also met Mr. Rajvir Singh Sodha, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for Human Rights, and highlighted key issues related to hemophilia and bleeding disorders, emphasizing the urgent need for awareness and support.

Strengthening Hemophilia Awareness – Student Feedback

Ms. Sana Sohail, Student (4th Professional), Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Karachi, shared her feedback following the Hemophilia Awareness Seminar.

She described the session conducted by the Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi Pakistan as highly informative and insightful, enhancing her understanding of hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. She particularly appreciated the discussion on treatment approaches, including prophylaxis, and the challenges related to access to clotting factor concentrates in Pakistan.

Ms. Sana Sohail acknowledged the valuable role of HWSK in raising awareness and educating future healthcare professionals. She expressed her interest in seeing more such sessions in the future and highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between academic institutions and patient advocacy organizations to strengthen knowledge, awareness, and patient care.
