Advancing Data-Driven Solutions to Combat Stunting in Sindh
On Jan 15, 2026, NHSP hosted a consultative meeting at the PMU NHSP to discuss the development and feasibility of an Integrated Dashboard on Stunting. Experts from World Bank, PPHI, SIEHS and WFP joined us to assess the feasibility of a unified data system.
By consolidating data streams, we aim to create a unified and real-time monitoring and more effective interventions across the province.

Empowering Frontline Heroes to Save Young Lives! 👶🏥
Under the NHSP Sindh, we successfully conducted a specialized training on the Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness (IMNCI) for 28 Healthcare Providers from PHC facilities. Led by a Course Director & 7 facilitators, the team focused on: 🔹 Effective management of childhood illnesses. 🔹 Skill-based classification & treatment for U5 children. 🔹 Reducing child morbidity province-wide.
Stronger skills at the frontline = Healthier children in our communities. 🩺

Strengthening Sindh’s Immunization Frontline: 307 New Vaccinators Trained! 💉🛡️
NHSP -Sindh is proud to announce the successful training of 307 newly hired vaccinators across all 30 districts of the province. This comprehensive training ensures that our frontline workers are equipped with the latest skills in vaccine management, cold chain maintenance, and community outreach.
By investing in specialized human resources, NHSP is moving closer to achieving Universal Health Coverage and ensuring that every child in Sindh—no matter how remote—is protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Strengthening Health Data Systems: 3-Day Training of Trainers on DHIS2 in Hyderabad! 📊🏥
3 Day Training of Trainers workshop focused on data collection and reporting forms for both Primary Health Care (PHC) and Secondary Health Care (SHC) level facilities, fully integrated into the DHIS2 framework. This initiative, supported by NHSP Sindh, is a major step toward real-time, evidence-based decision-making for better patient outcomes.
By empowering our trainers, we are ensuring that every health facility in Sindh contributes to a more transparent and efficient healthcare system.

Digitizing Health Data for a Stronger Sindh! 🖥️📊
A significant milestone in advancing data-driven healthcare was achieved today at the IT Equipment Distribution Ceremony for the pilot daily reporting initiative in Hyderabad and Tando Muhammad Khan.
During the ceremony, the Program Director of NHSP Sindh Dr. Sahibjan Badar officially handed over the equipment to Dr. Waqar Mehmood Memon, Director General of Health Services Sindh, in the presence of AD MIS, AD CDC, DHO Hyderabad, ADHO Tando M Khan and members of the NHSP team.
The introduction of daily digital reporting will eliminate delays and ensure the availability of health data in real time. We are also pleased to announce the collaboration with Aga Khan University, which will be providing similar equipment to support District Tando Allahyar.
Accurate and timely data enables informed decision-making. Together, we are shaping the future of public health.

A meeting was held with the Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC), chaired by CEO Dr. Ahsan Qavi Siddiqui, to streamline the ex*****on of activities under the NHSP Sindh. Dr. Sahibjan Badar provided a detailed briefing on NHSP's ongoing initiatives and the strategic "way forward" to ensure seamless project delivery and coordination with SHCC.

Honorable Secretary Health Mr. Rehan Iqbal Baloch sb chaired a meeting with all sectors operating under the NHSP umbrella. The meeting was attended by DG Health Services Sindh Dr. Waqar Mehmood Memon and representatives from EPI, RMNCH, TB Control Program, DHIS2, PPHI, M&E and MERF. PD NHSP, Dr. Sahibjan Badar gave a detailed presentation reviewing implementation progress across all sectors.

Dr. Sahibjan Badar, PD NHSP Sindh attended the Closing Ceremony of Strengthening Resilience of Agro-Pastoralists in Sindh (SRAS) project, by The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and The European Union together with the Government of Sindh held on 26 Nov,2025.
The project was implemented in Umerkot and Tharparkar, where 14,000 households received productive subsidies including 3,000 households received resilient breed improvement interventions, 705,000 livestock were vaccinated, and vulnerable farmers were supported with animal feed and mineral supplements. The project trained 8,970 farmers via Livestock Farmer and Agro-pastoral Field Schools, established 10 Producer Marketing Groups.14,423 hectares of agriculture land was benefited and 700 acres of rangeland were restored with indigenous grasses and trees.

Major step in accelerating our health sector reforms! 🎯
A high-level Technical Working Group meeting on DLI 2 and DLI 7 was successfully convened on October 28, 2025. The meeting was chaired by DGHSS Dr. Waqar Mehmood Memon along with PD NHSP Sindh Dr. Sahibjan Badar brought together a wide array of key partners, underscoring our unified commitment to achieving core project goals. Representatives from RMNCH, DGHSS, Population Welfare Department, SHCC, M&E, PPHI, Pathfinder, WHO, ACASUS, MERF and NHSP were also in attendance.
