High-Tech Equipment Handed Over to Eye OPD – Dr. Ruth K.M Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi.

Today, the Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari formally handed over state-of-the-art equipments to the Eye OPD. The instruments were received by Professor Dr. Mazharul Hassan, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology.

These advanced tools will greatly enhance the department’s capacity for early diagnosis and screening of various eye diseases. In addition, specialized lenses have also been provided to facilitate laser procedures.

This initiative marks a significant step toward improving eye care services for the public.

محرم الحرام کے لیے سول اسپتال کراچی کے خصوصی اقدامات

ڈاکٹر روتھ فائو سول اسپتال کراچی میں 10 محرم الحرام کے موقع پر عزاداروں کی طبی ضروریات کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے خصوصی میڈیکل کیمپس قائم کر دیے گئے ہیں۔ ڈاکٹرز اور طبی عملہ ایمرجنسی ڈیوٹی پر موجود ہے، جب کہ ہنگامی صورتحال سے نمٹنے کے لیے تمام تر وسائل الرٹ پر ہیں۔

میڈیکل سپرنٹنڈنٹ ڈاکٹر سید خالد بخاری نے آج میڈیکل کیمپس کا دورہ کیا، انتظامات کا جائزہ لیا اور طبی عملے کی تیاریوں کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا: " محرم کے دوران عزاداروں کو ہر ممکن طبی سہولت فراہم کی جارہی ہے۔ سول اسپتال کا عملہ ہمہ وقت الرٹ ہے تاکہ کسی بھی ہنگامی صورتحال سے مؤثر طریقے سے نمٹا جا سکے۔"۔

Karachi, May 23, 2025:
On the second consecutive day of its anti-encroachment campaign, Civil Hospital Karachi is cleared of all unauthorized occupants and illegal structures.

The operation—requested by Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari—was overseen by Deputy Commissioner South Mr. Javed Nabi Khoso and led on the ground by Assistant Commissioner Manshad Shahani, with additional supervision from DSP Muhammad Siddique, SHO Shahoor, and SHO Nawaz Zardari.

Teams from the Anti-Encroachment Unit, TMC Saddar Town officials, and the Sindh Police carried out peaceful evictions and systematically demolished encroached rooms in full compliance with legal and safety regulations. Following the clear-out, the area was secured to prevent any future incursions, ensuring that the hospital’s long-term infrastructure plans—including its Emergency, Surgical, and Medical Towers—can proceed without interruption.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Khalid Bukhari praised the coordinated effort, stating, “Removing illegal encroachments is essential to protect our hospital premises for patients and staff. These two days of sustained action reinforce our commitment to delivering uninterrupted, high-quality healthcare.”

Karachi (May 22, 2025):
A comprehensive anti-encroachment operation was successfully completed today at the Raja Mansion residential block of Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi.

The Anti Enchroachment drive, requested by Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari, was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner South, Mr. Javed Nabi Khoso, and led on the ground by Assistant Commissioner Manshad Shahani.

Teams from the Deputy Commissioner South’s office, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation officials, and the Sindh Police participated in the operation. All unauthorized occupants were peacefully evicted from the hospital quarters in full compliance with legal procedures, and no incidents of violence or unrest were reported.

“Today’s successful operation not only advances Civil Hospital Karachi’s master-planning, including the Emergency Tower and upcoming Surgical and Medical Towers, but also strengthens our commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare to the public.”Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari commented.
