When critical decisions can’t wait, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) can change everything.
Now considered a must-have skill for both adult and pediatric doctors working in emergency and critical care, POCUS enables faster diagnosis and more confident clinical decisions in high-pressure situations.
CIME, in collaboration with the University Of Lahore and the Department of Emergency Medicine, AKU, recently delivered the Point-of-Care Ultrasound for Life Support in Emergency (PULSE) workshop in Lahore, led by consultants from AKU.
From quick diagnosis to guiding critical interventions, participants got hands-on experience with skills that truly make a difference when it matters most. 🙌

What happens when technology meets clinical reality? You get HAL S5130 in action. 🤖🩺
CIME Karachi hosted a live demo of its newest high-fidelity sim - and the room was buzzing with curiosity, questions, and excitement.
From breathing and blinking to responding to interventions in real time, participants explored features like:
➡ Hyper-realistic physiology
➡ Advanced airway and ventilation capabilities
➡ Dynamic cardiovascular and neurological responses
➡ Real-time monitoring and scenario control
➡ Fully immersive, high-fidelity training
Because the best learning doesn’t just happen in theory - it happens in moments that feel real.

"Healthcare education in Pakistan operates within complex realities: high patient loads, limited time for supervision, unequal exposure to clinical cases, and significant pressure on training systems. Simulation addresses these challenges."
Simulation meets assessment - at the highest level!
The College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan (CPSP) 🇵🇰 conducted its TOACS (Task-Oriented Assessment of Clinical Skills) Critical Care exam at CIME, using high-fidelity simulators to create a realistic, robust, and standardised exam experience. Hear directly from the examiners as they reflect on this milestone collaboration between CPSP, the Department of Anesthesiology, AKU Medical College, and CIME.
We're proud to be shaping the future of critical care assessment through partnership, innovation, and simulation! 🙌
