Teaching Intentions for 2025: Strength in Yoga 💪🧘♀️
As we move into the new year, my focus is on weaving strength into every aspect of the yoga practice—body, mind and spirit. Here’s how I’m approaching it:
✨ Understanding Strength: Exploring effective strategies to build and sustain physical strength within yoga poses, improving alignment and endurance.
✨ Strength + Flexibility: Using strength as a foundation to safely deepen flexibility and balance mobility with stability.
✨ Resilience in Practice: Encouraging commitment, durability and consistency on the mat, supporting a mindset of resilience that carries into life beyond yoga.
✨ Nervous System Regulation: Developing tools to build mental resilience by using strength-based practices to regulate the nervous system, increase focus and improve stress response.
✨ Mind-Body Connection: Tuning into the sensations that arise with strength in the body. Notice the moments of release, the transitions between tightening and loosening, and how strength can cultivate both power and softness.
