ConnectHear is a platform to connect the deaf community with the society using in-person interpretation, video call interpretation and an audio to sign language software. Our page aims to build a community for the deaf and mute people to share their stories, express their concerns and contact us in times of need. This page will also serve the purpose of teaching common sign language phrases and will help create awareness about the deaf community. In Islamabad, 30+ leaders came together for corporate disability inclusion! ✨

ConnectHear and easypaisa organized Disability Inclusion Leadership Forum. This wasn’t just another corporate meetup; it was a movement for inclusive change, focusing on how disability inclusion must be embedded into systems, not just promised in statements.

We tackled questions that matter:
What does truly inclusive hiring look like?
How can digital banking and office tech be made accessible from the ground up?
Why is communication access the key, from interviews to career progression?

The forum also centred lived experiences. Professionals shared what accessibility looks like in practice, and HR leaders reflected on how to create environments that empower rather than exclude. At ConnectHear, we believe inclusion is not an option; it’s a right.🙌

Disability Inclusive Banking – UBL Edition

Customers with disabilities deserve to be served with dignity, clarity, and care. ConnectHear partnered with UBL to lead an insightful, hands-on session on Disability-inclusive banking.

With HR professionals and corporate leaders in attendance, the session focused on how teams can better engage with customers with hearing, physical, and other disabilities, creating an environment where no one is left behind.

Together, we explored:

Deaf Sensitivity & Sign Language Workshop - Alkhidmat Foundation
Youth and volunteers can create a real impact when trained to serve with empathy and awareness.✨

ConnectHear partnered with Alkhidmat Foundation to lead a hands-on workshop on Deaf Sensitivity and Basic Sign Language. From addressing misconceptions to role-playing real-life scenarios, young volunteers took their first steps toward respectful and inclusive communication.

They learned:
🔹 How to welcome and engage with a Deaf individual
🔹 Basics of Pakistani Sign Language
🔹 Every day do’s and don’ts when offering service

The ConnectHear team had the honor of meeting the Federal Minister of IT & Telecom, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to discuss how assistive technology can be scaled nationwide for the Deaf community.✨

We’re thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) as part of our ongoing collaboration with GSMA!👏

Under this collaboration, PMD will provide ConnectHear with weather reports and critical disaster updates. Our team will then convert this information into accessible Pakistani Sign Language (PSL) using AI and share it through dedicated groups for the Deaf community.
