لبریکس Librax کیوں خطرناک ہے؟
اس میں 2 فارمولے ہوتے ہیں. یعنی librax دو الگ الگ دواؤں کو اکٹھا کرکے بنائی گئی ہے. اس میں موجود ایک دوا کا جینرک نام chlordiazepoxide اور دوسرا clinidium ہے.
کلورڈائزپوکسائیڈ کا تعلق بنزوڈائیزاپین گروپ سے ہے یہ اینزائٹی کیلئے زیادہ تر استعمال ہوتی ہے. یہ دوا الکوحل withdrawal اور نیند وغیرہ کیلئے بھی استعمال ہوتی ہے. اسے اینٹی سائکوٹک ڈرگ کے گروپ میں ڈالا گیا ہے. اس کے نقصانات تو بہت ہیں لیکن چند سائیڈ ایفیکٹس میں غصہ زیادہ آنا، کنفیوژن، سائیکولوجیکل اینمپئرمنٹ اور لائف تھریٹننگ ایفیکٹس جیسے کہ ہیمولیٹک اینیمیا جیسے مسائل جنم دیتی ہے. اور مریض اس دوا کا عادی بھی ہوجاتا ہے. Sexual dysfunction بھی اس دوا کا ایک اہم سائڈ ایفیکٹ ہے.
اس کا دوسرا فارمولا clinidium ہے جو کہ peptic ulcer pain کیلئے استعمال ہوتا ہے. جس کا کام پیٹ کا درد کم کرنا ہے. جو کہ الٹرنیٹیو تھیراپی کے طور پر استعمال ہوتی ہے.
اب اس دوا کا فائدہ کم اور نقصان زیادہ ہے. لیکن پاکستان میں دیکھا دیکھی والی پریکٹس بہت زیادہ ہے. ہر معدے کے مریض کو بڑے آرام سے یہ دوا لکھ دی جاتی ہے. اور اس دوا کے نشہ آور اثر کی وجہ سے اسے آرام محسوس ہوتا پھر وہ خود جاکر یہ دوا خرید لیتا ہے. کوئی روکنے والا نہیں. وہ اس کا عادی ہوجاتا ہے اور مزید مسائل کا شکار بن جاتا ہے.
معدے کی خرابی کی وجہ سے بے چینی ایک عام بات ہے. یہ بے چینی PPI's استعمال کرنے سے بھی دور ہوجاتی ہے. جہاں تک نیند کی بات ہے تو معدہ ٹھیک ہوگا تو نیند بھی ٹھیک ہوجاتی ہے. بلاوجہ librax لکھ کر آپ مریض کی نظر میں بہت اعلیٰ پائے کے ڈاکٹر تو بن جاتے ہیں لیکن آپ کی تجویز سے اس کا جو بیڑا غرق بعد میں ہوتا ہے اس کے ذمہ دار آپ ہی ٹہرتے ہیں. اسی لئے پاکستان جیسے ملک میں دوا تجویز کرتے ہوئے یہ بات ذہن میں رکھیں کہ اس کے نقصانات کس حد تک خطرناک ہوسکتے ہیں.

Librax Why is Librax dangerous?
It has 2 formulas. That is, librax is made by combining two separate drugs. The generic name of one drug in it is chlordiazepoxide and the other is clinidium.
Chlordisepoxide belongs to the benzodiazepine group and is mostly used for anxiety. This drug is also used for alcohol withdrawal and sleep etc. It has been put in the group of antipsychotic drugs. Its disadvantages are many, but some of the side effects include increased anger, confusion, psychological impairment and life-threatening effects such as hemolytic anemia. And the patient becomes addicted to this medicine. Sexual dysfunction is also an important side effect of this medicine.
Its other formula is clinidium which is used for peptic ulcer pain. The function of which is to reduce stomach pain. Which is used as an alternative therapy.
Now the benefit of this medicine is less and the harm is more. But the practice seen in Pakistan is very high. This medicine is prescribed to every stomach patient with great comfort. And because of the narcotic effect of this medicine, he feels relaxed, then he goes and buys this medicine himself. No stopping. He becomes addicted to it and becomes prone to more problems.
Indigestion is a common cause of anxiety. This anxiety is also relieved by using PPI's. As far as sleep is concerned, if the stomach is fine then the sleep will also be fine. By writing librax for no reason, you become a very high-ranking doctor in the eyes of the patient, but you are the one responsible for the sinking of his ship by your suggestion. That is why, while prescribing medicine in a country like Pakistan, keep in mind how dangerous its harms can be.
