To emphasize the importance of immunization for children aged 6 months to 5 years, an Awareness Walk on Safety Precaution Injections for Children was organized at Government High School Darmalak (Lachi). The walk aimed to educate parents, students, community elders, religious scholars, and school staff on the significance of vaccinations in preventing life-threatening diseases. The initiative sought to spread awareness about vaccine schedules, safety measures, and post-vaccination care while addressing myths and misconceptions about immunization.
Event Highlights
Opening Session: The event commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Abdul Nasir, a school teacher, who highlighted the importance of childhood vaccinations and their role in preventing diseases.
Awareness Walk: Led by Health Department officials, medical professionals, school staff, and students, the walk covered key areas of Darmalak, Lachi, raising awareness through banners, placards, and slogans emphasizing the necessity of timely immunization. M***i Hafiz Haroon Ur Rashed and Principal GBHS Darmalak provided guidance to parents and students on vaccine schedules, safety measures, and post-vaccination care. Discussions were held to clarify concerns and emphasize the importance of free immunization services available for children.

Over 150 participants, including parents, students, teachers, and community members, joined the awareness walk. A strong message about the importance of timely vaccinations reached a broader community audience. Many myths and misconceptions about vaccines were effectively addressed and Increased commitment from parents and school staff to promote immunization programs.
