University of Lahore Teaching Hospital

University of Lahore Teaching Hospital Established in 2014, ULTH is one of the four teaching hospitals affiliated with the UCMD. All the staff members are qualified and have valid PMDC registration.

All programs offered by the university are recognized by the Higher Education Commission and Government regulatory bodies in Pakistan. The university is also recognized by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pakistan Bar Council, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, Pakistan Nursing Council, Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, etc. Our strong emphasis on balanced progress and focus on human capital has allowed us to grow to a student body of more than 25,000 across seven “purpose-built” campuses at Lahore, Islamabad, Sargodha, Gujarat, and Pakpattan with eleven diverse faculties. The strategic plan was developed to serve as an impetus to realize the dream of providing “broad-based, compassionate, high quality and cost-effective healthcare delivery”. The University of Lahore Teaching Hospital strategic plan ensures fulfilling the requirements of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, Pakistan Nursing Council and Pharmacy Council of Pakistan etc. All the requirements of major governing institutions like the Health Department and Health Care Commission are fulfilled vehemently. The diagnostic department of The University of Lahore Teaching Hospital also completely adheres to the policies laid down by Pakistan Nuclear Radiation Authority (PNRA), Blood Transfusion Authority. We are committed to providing excellent service. The University of Lahore Teaching hospital is 460 bedded hospital having 14 fully equipped private rooms. Join our team in providing high-quality ophthalmic screening and diagnostic services for patients across both paying and charity streams. You’ll play a vital role in the first stage of patient care, ensuring accurate, efficient, and patient-friendly assessments before consultation.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Perform Visual Acuity (VA) testing, Auto-refraction, and Pneumatic Tonometry.

Prepare and educate patients for screenings while maintaining infection control.

Assist in patient triage and coordinate smooth clinical workflow.

Maintain diagnostic equipment and ensure accurate documentation in EMR/HMIS.

🔹 Requirements:

Diploma/Certificate in Ophthalmic Technology from a recognised institution.

1–3 years’ relevant experience (fresh graduates with strong training may apply).

Skilled in VA testing, Auto-refraction, Tonometry; OCT, VF, and B-Scan knowledge is a plus.

Strong patient communication and attention to detail.

🌍 Work Environment:

High-volume outpatient clinic with diverse patient cases.

Possible shift rotation and involvement in specialised diagnostics (OCT, VF, B-Scan, LASERS).

Provide comprehensive low vision assessments and prescribe suitable visual aids.

Fit and dispense a variety of contact lenses, including specialty and scleral lenses.

Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with ophthalmologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.

🔹 Requirements:
