Policy Message
Delegation of YDA Gujrat met with MS ABSTH Gujrat.
The following issues were raised and discussed in detail:
1. As Punjab Govt has restarted the MCPS program across the Punjab, so YDAG demanded to timely complete all the necessary requirements so as in next induction our Doctors face no hurdles.
2. PMDC visit is long been due for the accrediation of MD/MS program. YDAG urged the MS ABSTH Gujrat to make all necessary arrangements to avoid any further delay.
3. YDA Gujrat once again stressed on the increase of PG training slots in ABSTH and requested MS ABSTH to formally communicate with Health Department.
4. YDAG requested to open recruitment process for Medical Officers and Women Medical Officers to counter the acute shortage of doctors in ABSTH and fill all the vacant seats.
5. The issue of Male and Female Doctors Hostel was raised, need of construction of new hostel buildings with adequate capacity was conveyed.
6. YDA Gujrat raised the issues of Basic Medicine deficiencies, non availability of important diagnostic and Laboratory tests , missing key surgical instruments in the Operation Theatres and urged from MS ABSTH Gujrat to devise a standard surgical instruments sterilisation system.
7. Safety and Security of Doctors, Healthcare Workers and Our Patients must be the Top priority, YDA Gujrat requested MS ABSTH to make sure that every corner of hospital is covered with CCTV cameras and all the Security Guards present vigilantly at their duty places.
8. Presently, there is visible shortage of Janitorial staff and their inefficiency can be seen throughout the hospital , YDA Gujrat urged MS ABSTH to take all the important steps to ensure the hygienic environment in hospital.
9. YDA Gujrat demanded from MS ABSTH to pay special attention towards choked Sewerage System. Dewatering all the Hospital premises must be top priority and should have been completed within hours.
At the end YDA Gujrat also conveyed the MS ABSTH about unnecessary and undue delay in salaries of doctors.
MS ABSTH Gujrat assured full cooperation and implementation of the discussed agenda points, with a commitment to resolving the highlighted issues in a timely and effective manner.
