Psychosis is a condition where a person experiences a loss of connection with reality. It can affect thoughts, emotions, perceptions, and behavior. Individuals experiencing psychosis may hear voices, see things others cannot, develop false beliefs (delusions), or struggle to think clearly.

Psychosis is not a personality flaw or weakness — it is a serious mental health condition that can result from trauma, severe stress, psychiatric disorders, substance use, neurological conditions, or medical illnesses. Early intervention, professional support, therapy, medication, and a strong support system can significantly improve recovery and quality of life.

Mental health awareness, empathy, and timely treatment can make a life-changing difference.

On this blessed Day of Day of Arafah, I humbly request you to remember me and my family in your prayers.

May Allah accept every sincere dua, forgive our shortcomings, ease our hardships, and grant healing, peace, and countless blessings to all those struggling silently. May this sacred day bring mercy, hope, and closeness to Allah for every heart. 🤍

The overlap between the Model of Human Occupation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy highlights how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, routines, and environment all work together in shaping human functioning and wellbeing.

While MOHO focuses on motivation, habits, roles, performance, and participation in daily life, CBT helps identify and restructure unhelpful thought patterns, and DBT strengthens emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Together, these approaches create a holistic framework that supports individuals in building healthier routines, adaptive coping skills, emotional resilience, meaningful occupational engagement, and improved quality of life.

The integration of MOHO with CBT and DBT is especially valuable in mental health, trauma-informed care, rehabilitation, and behavioral interventions, where understanding both occupation and emotional-cognitive processes is essential for lasting change.

EMDR vs Somatic Therapy ✨

Both therapies help heal trauma — but they work in different ways.

🧠 EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)
Focuses on processing painful memories so they no longer feel emotionally overwhelming.
It helps the brain “re-file” traumatic experiences in a healthier way.

Best for:
• PTSD & trauma
• Disturbing memories
• Anxiety & panic
• Emotional triggers

🌿 Somatic Therapy
Focuses on the body’s stored stress and trauma responses.
It helps release tension, survival energy, and emotions trapped within the nervous system.

Best for:
• Chronic stress & anxiety
• Body tension
• Emotional numbness
• Nervous system regulation

✨ The difference?
EMDR works more with memories and reprocessing.
Somatic Therapy works more with bodily sensations and nervous system healing.

Both are powerful.
Both are valid.
Healing is not one-size-fits-all. 🤍

“The three core wounds most people silently carry:

• I am not enough.
• I am not lovable.
• I am not safe.

And almost every overreaction, attachment, fear, shutdown, or people-pleasing pattern grows from one of these wounds.
Healing begins when you stop shaming your pain and start understanding it.”

The Self-Care Wheel 🌸

Self-care is not just bubble baths and skincare.
It’s learning how to take care of your mind, body, emotions, relationships, spirituality, and daily life — all together.

The self-care wheel reminds us that healing and balance come from nurturing every part of ourselves, not just surviving the day.

✨ Physical — rest, movement, nutrition
✨ Emotional — feeling, expressing, processing
✨ Mental — boundaries, learning, peace of mind
✨ Social — healthy connections & support
✨ Spiritual — purpose, faith, inner calm
✨ Personal — hobbies, growth, joy

You cannot pour from an empty cup.
Taking care of yourself is necessary, not selfish. 🤍
