The Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry organized a dental screening camp for the School of Culinary Arts, where the students of 2nd year BDS screened nearly 30 students along with the faculty members. Free of cost dental check-ups were conducted, the participants were also briefed about Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Dental Hospital, its various departments, and the procedures practiced.

The participants were given Oral Hygiene Instructions (OHI), including demonstration of the correct brushing and flossing method to promote better self-care practices.

The camp proved to be a great success, with enthusiastic participation from both the culinary school and our BDS students, reflecting a strong commitment to community service and preventive dentistry.

A Team-Based Learning (TBL)session was conducted by the department of Community and Preventive Dentistry and Behavioral Sciences.
The session aimed to enhance student’s understanding of professional ethical principles, legal responsibilities, and their application in clinical practice.
The interactive format encouraged team work, team building, critical thinking, and ethical reasoning, thereby reinforcing the importance of professionalism and accountability in dental practice.
