Prof M A Wajid is a consultant orthopedic surgeon currently working at National Hospital Lahore. Prof Wajid joined Aga Khan University in 2001, where he established a high quality Orthopedic and Trauma service. Prof Wajid was trained in UK and undertook specialist training in Germany and Belgium. For over 20 years, we have been providing high quality orthopedic services. A respected name in Trauma and Orthopedics, both atNational and International level. Main areas of our interest are Key Hole ( Arthroscopic ) Surgery, Joint Replacement Surgery and Sports Injuries as well as routine Trauma and Acetabular fracture surgery. We have close liaison with rheumatology and rehabilitation services as well as sophisticated radio-logical services with state of the art MRI. Prof. Dr.M.A. Wajid is an Internationallyrenowned Orthopedic Surgeon working as Head of Orthopedics Surgery at National Hospital & Medical Centre, DHA, Lahore. Prof Wajid was trained in UKand undertook specialist fellowship training in Germany and Belgium. He is Chairman of AOTrauma Middle East Board, Member AOTrauma International Board, Switzerlandand founding chairman of AOTrauma Pakistan. Due to his untiring efforts, AO Foundation Switzerland, one of the largest nonprofit Trauma organization in the world, has approved AO Trauma Pakistan country Chapter. Due to this all AO Trauma courses are regularly conducted in Pakistan under his chairmanship since 2003. He was elected Member Board of trustees of AO Foundation – First surgeon from Pakistan to represent the country. Under his leadership, his unit is the only unit recognized for AOTrauma fellowship in Pakistan, where surgeons from abroad come to learn and receive training in advancedorthopedic surgery procedures. He has facilitated many orthopedic surgeons to secure AO Fellowships to go abroad and learn latest techniques. In his department, all kinds of arthroscopic procedures, joint replacement surgery and trauma surgery is performed. Dr. Wajid is one of the Pioneers of arthroscopic surgery of shoulder and Hip in the country including Arthroscopic shoulder stabilization, Hip Arthroscopic procedures and has published on this subject.
