LAHORE, May 1, 2026 — Marking Labor Day with a profound humanitarian mission, APKA Clinic, in a prestigious collaboration with Akram Medical Complex, PSIM, and Horn Edge, deployed its high-tech Mobile Hospital Unit to serve the underprivileged labor community of Jallo Village.
Inspired by the vision of Prof. Dr. Javed Akram and Dr. Shehla Javaid to bring specialized healthcare directly to the doorsteps of those in need, the camp transformed a mobile unit into a full-scale clinical hub.
Expert Care for the Backbone of the Nation
from PSIM Leading the mission, Prof. Dr. Idrees Ahmad oversaw a team of top-tier specialists who utilized the mobile unit’s advanced diagnostic facilities—including a laboratory, ultrasound room, and a dedicated dispensary. The team, featuring Dr. Farhan, Dr. Hamza Shabir, Dr. Bilal, Dr. Naeem, Dr. Ayesha, and Dr. Zaima, alongside dietitian Ms. Anum and Sister Monica, provided comprehensive screenings for 75 patients.
Key Medical Highlights:
Diabetes & Hypertension: High-precision on-spot blood sugar testing and blood pressure monitoring were conducted, followed by immediate specialist consultations.
Hearing Health: Horn Edge Hearing Care Clinic provided specialized auditory assessments to address neglected hearing issues among the local workforce.
On-Site Pharmacy: Essential medicines were provided free of charge on the spot, with the generous support of Don Valley Pharmaceutical.
