Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore celebrated World Diabetes Day on 14th November with a series of awareness activities. A free medical camp was organized where patients had their blood sugar and blood pressure checked . A Diabetes Awareness Walk was held within the hospital premises under the supervision of Dr. Khushbakht, HOD Medicine, to show solidarity with diabetic patients. A session by the hospital nutritionists guided attendees on healthy dietary choices, foods to avoid, and items to take in moderation. The diet counseling was highly appreciated by all participants, making the event both informative and impactful.

BLS and ACLS Training Session

The second batch of the BLS and ACLS training program commenced today. The sessions will continue for the next three days—11th, 12th, and 13th. Doctors and paramedical staff from outstations and Lahore are participating in this training.

Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore celebrated World Immunization Day on 10th Nov 2025,in Paediatric Department. Mothers were guided on how routine immunization protects children from serious childhood diseases included in the EPI programme.
The importance of age-appropriate vaccination and the continuation of vaccination drives in Pakistan, even after 5 years of age, was highlighted.
Parents were informed about vaccines offered in schools and how to ensure timely completion of schedules.
An interactive Q&A session allowed mothers to discuss and clarify their concerns regarding childhood immunization.

Dr. Khushbakht, HOD Medicine, delivered an informative lecture in the General OPD focusing on cancer risk factors and preventive strategies. She emphasized the importance of a healthy diet in lowering cancer risk and highlighted that early detection leads to better outcomes. The session also covered early diagnosis, timely treatment, and how many cancers are preventable if identified promptly. A question–answer session followed, where Dr. Khushbakht addressed public queries and provided clear guidance.

A special lecture was delivered highlighting the importance of polio drops and vaccination.The session emphasized preventive measures and community awareness to eradicate polio completely. Speakers discussed how timely vaccination is the key to protecting every child from lifelong disability. The event also shed light on Pakistan’s ongoing efforts as a developing country to eliminate polio and ensure a healthier future for all children.

World Osteoporosis Day – 20th October 2025

Fauji Foundation Hospital, Lahore, celebrated World Osteoporosis Day on 20th October with great enthusiasm. Dr. Ali Shirazi, Medical Specialist, delivered an informative lecture on osteoporosis, highlighting its causes, risk factors, treatment, and preventive measures. The session included a highly interactive question-and-answer segment, during which patients actively participated and asked insightful questions. Fauji Foundation Hospital, Lahore, celebrated World Mental Health Day on 10th October. An extensive lecture was delivered by Dr. Arslan Shamim, Medical Specialist, in the General OPD, where patients actively participated and asked questions about mental health and its care. Later, Psychiatrist Lt Col. Zarrar Akbar, conducted face-to-face counselling sessions with the patients. Informative pamphlets were also distributed among them to enhance awareness and understanding of mental well-being.

Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore, in continuation with the Pink October campaign, organized an awareness activity on 9th October to highlight the importance of breast cancer awareness. The doctor addressed the female patients, emphasizing early detection and demonstrating how to perform self-breast examinations at home. To mark the occasion, all female doctors wore pink in solidarity with the cause. The session aimed to educate women on identifying warning signs and seeking timely medical advice.We proudly celebrate days that encourage preventive health and empower our patients with knowledge.
