At Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore, World Nurses Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect for the nursing staff. More than 80 nurses participated in the memorable event and enjoyed various activities including the national anthem, skits , and singing performances. Administrator Brig Tahir Farooq(R) appreciated the dedication and hard work of nurses, stating that a hospital can run without doctors for some time, but cannot function without nurses who care for patients round the clock. Cake and lunch were served, making the celebration joyful and special for all attendees. The function was attended by the Administrator, MS, MA, and Heads of Departments, making the nurses feel truly honoured and valued.

In the General OPD, Dr. Neelam Khan, Paediatrician,delivered an informative lecture about thalassemia, its causes, and preventive measures. She emphasized the importance of thalassemia screening before marriage to help prevent the disease in future generations. The importance of blood donation was also highlighted, explaining how regular blood donors can help save the lives of thalassemia patients and many others in need. Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore actively participates in celebrating WHO World Health Days to spread awareness and promote healthier communities.

Proper inhaler techniques were demonstrated, and guidance was given on managing asthma during weather changes.

On the occasion of World Liver Day, Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore organized an awareness session highlighting the importance of liver health. Dr. Sonia Saleem,Gastroenterologist emphasized the vital functions of the liver and the need to maintain a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. She also highlighted that fatty liver disease is becoming increasingly common in Pakistan. Regular liver checkups and timely liver function tests were encouraged to ensure early diagnosis and prevention of liver-related diseases. The patients participated fully by asking questions from her.
